Today we toured our hotel, The Acoya and did a site inspection of Kontiki Beach Resort. After lunch we stayed to relax at the Cabana Beach Club, one of Kontiki’s three beach clubs on Mambo beach.

Curacao, along with Aruba and Bonaire are called the ABC Islands. Located closer to South America, they are outside of the hurricane zone. Windy and hot, cactus instead of palm trees, it’s very different from other Caribbean islands. I’m here at Sandals Curacao and will be touring other resorts for a few days. Follow ali g as I learn more about it.

I feel lucky everyday that I found my passion and continue to do what I love. Our last evening was 60s/70s theme. What a blast! I couldn’t be in CO without a quick drive into the mountains with good friends. A perfect ending to a very busy week.

Work for me and play for my photographers. 😂 The sun finally came out this morning. I toured two amazing hotels. The Grand Zermatterhof and The Mont Cervin Palace. Both beautiful hotels in the middle of the village. I would highly recommend either for the luxury traveler. There are also options for the moderate traveler. Zermatt is a winter or summer destination.

This place is magical. It has the best location in Zermatt. Truly a historic property that has been modernized in the best ways. Where else can you arrive at the hotel in a horse drawn carriage?

After a long, two days of travel, a true planes, trains, and electric automobile journey, we finally arrived in Zermatt Switzerland. It was cloudy yesterday for the most part but the view from the train was absolutely gorgeous. Thank you to some very nice travelers that helped us along the way. Zermatt is a car free village, so the hotel had an electric shuttle for us which was lovely. After a few quick showers, change of clothes, we explored the village, had a wonderful burger at the Brown Cow and went to rent skis. We tried to stay up, but eventually gave up trying and we’re all in bed by 7 o’clock. this morning we had a wonderful breakfast at our hotel then the boys. We walked to the gondola and I got them on the way, I picked up a chocolate croissant before headed back to relax and get a little work done. #switzerland #utcluxingitup #sovirtuoso #zermatt #envoytravel
