We were invited to tour Kisawa, the newest property on the tip of Benguerra Island. Here, guests will find the space and freedom to find their own rhythm - to do as they wish, when they wish. Saying goodbye after one last day at Azura isn’t easy. Thanks to Kaylee, Tristan, Carlos, Mino and the rest of the wonderful staff there that made us feel at home. Our final dinner on the porch was very special , and we even fit in a much needed detox at the spa before being whisked away on the helicopter to return to reality. #azurabenguerra #shelleymytripcoach #saluteafrica
Our second day in paradise was filled with delight, beginning with a wonderful massage in the Azura spa, then on to a scuba diving trip with Tristan and Carlos. Diving on the reef brought us sharks, the invasive crown of thorns, a huge grouper, large parrot fish and incredible coral in a rainbow of colors. We were dropped of at the Peri Peri Beach club for lunch and a rest on their days beds. At 4:30 Carlos took us for a sunset sail on the traditional dhow boat, decorated with flowers and complete with G&Ts, and as soon as we arrived back to the resort Mino was there with our evening cocktail! For our dinner he set up a beautiful table in the sand surrounded by candlelight and served the largest lobster tail I have ever seen. Paradise Found! Azura Benguerra Island is true barefoot luxury, and a place I could easily find myself returning to. Mino is our host for our stay and showed us to our beachfront villa with our private pool and cabana. After our lunch on the beach we went on a fabulous snorkeling trip, with beautiful coral, fish, turtles and octopus. On the way to the reef we could see where they set up the private beach barbecues. At 5:00, each guest is served the sunset cocktail of the day at their cabana and our day ended with a dinner of fresh prawns in the sand. Just lovely! #azura #shelleymytripcoach #saluteafrica
