Wildwood Slabs LLC is owned by Chad Tester and Scott Blackett. Our motto is, "Let your designs Grow Wild"
No one creates beauty like mother nature. Trees evolve from a tiny seed and grow into something ravishing. The amazing things about trees are that, all of them have different journeys. Some trees live a short life and some live over a thousand years. Some live, die and then are preser
ved in earth, water or ice. The ones that don't get preserved; die, rot, decay...and it's over. But, Wild Wood Slabs have found a way to save the beauty before it’s too late. We repurpose them and honor them by showcasing their hidden treasures. By the time we are able to do that, these majestic trees have already lived a full life. Full of sunny days, rainy days and days filled with cold turbulent winds. They withstand all of this and all the while grow character flaws within their grain structure. As time goes on, those flaws yield endless beauty. Wildwood Slabs seeks this pulchritude and harnesses it all. From that point, we capture the mystery and the story of the tree. The tree's purpose now is in our hands. Like the ownership of an antique, we stand as stewards of these trees. Every live edge slab is measured, sequenced labeled and documented. We record all of this along with the location where the tree once stood. Our hope and goal is for every slab that transfers ownership will have its' location recorded. From the very beginning of a live edge slab's existence, we want to maintain records of its location for years to come. With the cooperation of every owner, extend that slab's purpose. This is what separates us from other lumber companies. We hold our trees in high regard, as they were here for us, we are now here for them.
