No passport then take a cruise out of Florida heading to the island of Grand Turks which is apart of Turks and Caicos πΉπ¨. Typical cruise ship port for 6-8 hours but here are some things you can do to maximize your time.
There are many things to do in Grand Turk, including visiting historical sites, exploring the beaches, and enjoying water sports.
Historical sites: Visit the Turks and Caicos National Museum to learn about the history of the islands, including the Molasses Reef wreck, the oldest European shipwreck excavated in the Americas. Other historical sites include the old H.M. Prison, St Mary's Anglican Church, and the Government Offices.
Beaches: Enjoy the white sand beaches, including SunRay Beach, which is good for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
Water sports: Try scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, or whale watching.
Explore the island: Rent a car or scooter to explore the island at your own pace.
Visit Cockburn Town: The capital city of Grand Turk, with remnants of British-Bermudian Colonial architecture and many hotels.
Visit the Grand Turk Lighthouse: The only lighthouse in the Turks and Caicos, overlooking the North Reef.
Visit Gibbs Cay: An uninhabited island with beautiful beaches and diving sites.
Visit the Margaritaville complex: A large pool with a swim-up bar, bar food, and shops.
Take a Jet Ski Safari Tour: Visit secluded cays and beaches, and see the mangroves and inlet areas.
Take a Ghost Freighter excursion: Visit the La Famille Express, an abandoned cargo ship near the shore.
