Disney is for the grownups.

For friends that became family. For girls that met in their teens and have now known each other longer than they haven’t.

Disney is where you can laugh and dance and scream at the top of your lungs as you try your best not to collectively crash your space ship. Where you eat some of the best food you’ll ever eat and try the drinks that make your mouth go numb because, why not. Where you can soak up the sun as you float around a lazy river or eat an entire kitchen sink of ice cream. It’s where you pose for pictures with Tinker Bell and look to the sky as it lights up with fireworks.

Disney is an investment you make in memories and a gift you give to the child that lays dormant within you.

People think Disney is for kids but what they forget is that more often than they realize, those kids are simply walking around in the bodies of grownups.

A whirlwind of a day with 80 fellow agents at our annual team meeting!

I say it every year, but the fact that I get to do this as an actual job still brings me to tears. I didn’t grow up in the parks, but Walt’s dream was alive in my home and heart as I watched the characters come to life on VHS and now that I’m an adult and a mother, the privilege of being able to still experience the magic is not lost on me.

Disney isn’t about Mickey Mouse or the rides or the merchandise; it’s about being able to let go of the pain and toil of life for just a little while and remember what it was like to be a kid again. Unburdened and uninhibited joy. To see my daughter’s face light up as she experiences it for herself is nothing short of magic. Disney is timeless and ageless and I really believe that it is attainable for everyone who wants to experience it. My job is to help MAKE it attainable.

I am eternally grateful for this opportunity and for the gift that people offer me when they trust me to help them make their dreams a reality.

👶🏽 Strollers and ECVs 🦼

Disney’s exclusive mobility provider is the 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 company that can drop off right at your resort’s bell services desk which means from the moment you arrive, you can have the convenience of simply stopping by to gather your rentals!

While you can rent these items at any Disney park, there are some drawbacks:

👎🏽 Park rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis - so it’s entirely possible you’ll arrive and be out of luck!

👎🏽 Park strollers have hard seats that don’t recline and are far less comfortable for littles than the options available through Scooterbug

👎🏽 Park rentals are 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 good for use in the parks. With Scooterbug, you can keep your rental with you all the way back to your room.

Most airport offer mobile ordering but you’ll notice that the lines are usually long (meaning most people don’t use it!)

Before traveling, check out your airport map and know your gate; mobile order from your plane before you get off and it’ll be hot and ready for you to grab by the time you arrive!

Disney just announced that starting January 9, guests with Park-Hopper tickets can 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦!

This will be the first time post-COVID that guests will not be restricted from hopping until 2pm which will open up so much flexibility (in addition to no longer needing to make park pass reservations!)

I’d heard about the difference between Walt Disney World and Disneyland when it comes to character interactions but it was seriously a TREAT to just be walking down the street, come upon even some 𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘦 ones like the Queen of Hearts, and just snag a selfie like nbd.

I would definitely recommend having your cameras at-the-ready here because you literally never know when the next one will pop up!

When I shop at Disney I get overwhelmed by all the cute merch and it’s hard to narrow down exactly what I want. To help, I snap a photo of the things I really love and give myself some time to think on it!

Also, when in the parks I ALWAYS check for better pricing! When I was there this month, some of the items I wanted to purchase in the shops were 30% off online with free shipping! The benefit of this was I could see the products in real life but didn’t have to pack and haul them all the at home! ✈️

☂️ Umbrellas have purpose rain AND shine!

Personally, I prefer to pack a small umbrella for rain because ponchos can feel clingy and make me overheat in the already impressive humidity of Florida.

On a recent trip, I saw a mom carrying an umbrella as her little walked beside her in the shade it provided- so smart! The difference between shade and sun was easily 10° so I was tryna find it wherever I could!

The only downside to umbrellas is YOU WILL get stopped at security for a bag check… UNLESS you pull it out and carry it in front of your body so they see it ahead! Then you’ll breeze right through!

⏰ Virtual Queue: Not every park offers this option but if you’re wanting to ride Tron (Magic Kingdom) or Cosmic Rewind (EPCOT), you’ll want to have fast fingers! If you don’t get a Boarding Group at the 7am opening, try again at 1pm (but know you must have entered the park!)

⏰ Genie+: Your first LL booking should be your top priority attraction or one that typically has a long wait.

Individual Lightning Lane: Don’t forget that there is a limit of 2 of these per guest per day, even with park-hoppers!

Not sure how to strategize which attractions to use for each option? That’s where I can help!

ALWAYS ask for the magic shot. PhotoPass cast members won’t always suggest it but they all have one and they are SO CUTE.

Speaking of Memory Maker:
Is it worth it? Personally, I say yes (if you are visiting a park for at least 3 days). Not only do you get all your attraction photos but you get the video shots, the magic shots, and TONS of great backgrounds. AND, if you’re the one who is usually taking the pictures for your family, it guarantees you will also be in some 😉 Be sure to add it to your package in advance to save $30!

🚨 2024 bookings for Walt Disney World will open on May 31! 🚨

If you're looking to travel to Walt Disney World next year, booking as early as possible can help you guarantee the best rates and resort availability!

On top of getting the best deals, Disney has also shared some other updates that will undoubtedly make your 2024 visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth even more exciting:

⭐️ Starting with park visits on Jan. 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets, which is the standard type of admission Disney offers to guests. For other admission types, including non-dated tickets, theme park reservations may be required.

⭐️ Disney dining plans will return as an option for those who purchase a vacation package at Disney Resort hotels starting with stays beginning Jan. 9, 2024. Dining plans can be added to these packages when booking opens on May 31!

⭐️ In response to guest feedback requesting ways to plan with Disney Genie+ service and individual lightning lane selections before the day of a park visit, Disney is exploring ways for guests to do this in 2024. More information to come!

Loving the installation of the new Amazon echos in the resorts! This morning we asked “Hey, Disney!” to play a soundscape of Moana and it was perfection for eating breakfast in our room with the patio door open!

These devices will eventually be in most resorts but currently are offered in the Polynesian.

🐢 Turtle Talk with Crush 🐢 Hands down this is one of my favorite attractions at Epcot and makes me laugh every time! It is sincerely incredible the skill level that Crush has to engage with the audience and after years of crossing our fingers to be called on, K finally got noticed with her “purple shell and orange thing stuck to the brown noggin” 🤣 In addition to just being plain old fun, TTWC is an awesome experience to add to your park day for the following reasons: 💬 The only wait you ever really will have is just the time between each “performance” 💬 The waiting area is full of interactive games and fish to look at so waiting feels like an activity on its own! 💬 Air conditioning. 💬 Repeatability. No two experiences are the same! Be sure you have your camera video ready for this one, friends because you never know what gem-of-a-moment you’ll capture! Have you ever met Crush? Something a lot of people may not think to bring on vacation is a water-proof pouch for their phone. I am SO GLAD I had one last May because I was able to catch my daughter learning to swim for the first time without swimmies! Not only didn’t get great videos but I could screen shot the videos to have amazing and memorable moments like this for our family vacation album. The jeeps on Kilimanjaro Safaris are completely real — they were custom designed by GMC and cost an estimated $100,000 each! The Safari Guides are really driving as well — those aren’t on a track! But really the animals run the show. If an animal gets in the pathway of a safari truck, then it’s in the rules that the truck must stop and wait, no matter how long it takes. The expansive views of the savanna are definitely immersive on the real-life safari tour (Kilimanjaro Safari) in Animal Kingdom, but I always recommend the left side of the safari vehicle over the other. The left side will get you closer to the majority of the animals, like the crocodiles, hippos, and the African wild dogs. While the right side might give you a better view of the giraffes. This enormous Carrot Cake Cookie, available at the Trolley Car Cafe (Hollywood Studio’s Starbucks stop), is a major snack-credit/ bang for buck option for those who are fans of this flavor. Coming in at just $3.99, it is totally shareable! I personally, wasn’t a fan because of the golden raisins hidden inside but the cream cheese frosting and cake was delish. I definitely would also recommend grabbing a fork to eat with because it can be MESSY and falls apart easily from being so moist. Have you had this? Ski Patrol Training Camp, located at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park allows “future ski patrollers” to challenge themselves and hone their skills while encountering tricky obstacles. We discovered Fahrenheit Drops on our last trip and weren’t sure whether my peanut-of-a-6-year-old would be brave enough to do it. Boy did she prove us wrong! (As you’ll see by her “I’m not afraid of anything stance...” 🤣) On this attraction, kiddos grab ahold of a “T-Bar,” the zip line several feel until they end with a splash in 8.5-foot-deep water. There was no wait for this thrill so my kiddo took advantage several times and we got some great shots! If your child can’t tread water be sure they wear a life jacket as the water is deep. I was unaware of my love for Captain Jack Sparrow until this moment. And then I couldn’t look away. I’d like to think we had a moment together. Character experiences are definitely different right now due to all the safety protocol in place but I found the ways in which they still existed it was still really fun and totally magical. While you can’t hug Mickey or ask for Elsa’s autograph, the one benefit you’ll find right now is the stress-free opportunities to just “come upon” a character unexpectedly and interact with them. No fast passes or lines- and they’re always spaced out enough you can still snap a photo with them in the background!
