I just finished my Viking Cruises training. What an amazing company. I wished I was younger and could get around better. I would do one of there expedition cruises. It looks fantastic. And they have a whole area on the bottom of the ship with boats kayaks, submarines, etc. so you can load up before you ever even hit the water for your exploration.

And everything is included that clients need. They don’t include gratuities in the price so the staff will work their hardest to please the client in order to receive a good tip. Also, a full alcohol package also is not included. But what is included is, beer, wine, and sodas are included with lunches and dinners.

For my clients that have booked their Alaska cruisetour, or for those that have this on their busket list and wondered what it would be like. Here is what my clients that just returned had to say about it:

I liked Princess very much. The medallion and the employees and the excursions were all great. So was the room. Just the music/bands were all elevator type live music. We didn't care for that. But we heard Alaska cruisers are average age of 62 so I guess it's geared toward old people music. Although that is our age so you would think they would play some livelier rock or country. Lol.

The transfers sure made everything easy and there were plenty of Princess people guiding the way at the terminals. Princess did great!

So if you’ve always wanted to experience Alaska, please give me a call and let’s make the magic happen.

I know it’s been a while since I have posted but here is a unique item that all travelers must have. The biggest drawback is that you have to be an apple user.

It’s a product called AirTag. It is a disk that you can put in your suitcase or attach to your keys, etc. it works with the Find My app. So if your luggage gets lost or stolen while traveling, you can then at that point track it down. And I have heard folks on some of the cruises even that we have been on that has had their luggage list and therefore had no clothes, toiletries, etc.

What a wonderful idea! I will be ordering mine soon off Amazon!

POLICY UPDATE: For Bucket List Travel Service’s service:

I have discovered a need to charge a planning/research fee for ANY travel inquiries. This fee is refundable if the travel is booked and travel completed. Otherwise this fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. And this fee is to cover my time for doing research and pulling quotes for possible travel in order to assure that I am not working for free. My time is just as valuable as anyone else’s. Your accountant doesn’t work for free. Your doctor doesn’t work for free. ETC. So why should your travel agent work for free? I just can’t afford to do that any longer.

So the fees are as follows: domestic travel is $50 per trip and international fee is $100 per trip.

NOTE: Florida and California are exempt from this policy as the law states.

We are on a 5 night cruise with Royal Caribbean on Mariner of the seas. Our original itinerary was to go to Labadee, Haiti and then to perfect day at Coco Cay. So this is an example of the cruise contract and it does happen. The weather is beautiful but unfortunately a passenger had a medical emergency the after we got out to sea after embarking. So due to the circumstances, we had to divert to Ft Lauderdale so the passenger could get the medical attention the he/she needed. So with that being the case and it was going to put us in to Labadee 6 hrs later, that was not going to be possible. So now we are diverting to Coco Cay, then going back out to sea for a sea day, and then back to Coco Cay for our original stop. We were looking forward to going to Labadee because we had never been there. But life happens! But then we have not been to Coco Cay either. So it just means we will get a double dose all in one trip. Not a problem for us. But I’m sure there will be some passengers that are not happy but the passenger with the medical emergency can not help it. And we just pray that they will be fine.

Just an example of what can happen. Try to be understanding if a similar thing happens to you while on a cruise.

✈️ Important to know!!! ✈️

I think a lot of people misunderstand what travel agents do. Yes, we quote and book vacations. Yes, we make personalized itineraries and plans for you. Yes, this costs you NOTHING extra over booking it yourself!!!!

What we don't do is get paid if you don't book with us. So please don’t pick our brain and then book on your own. That literally steals our time for nothing in return!!!

We are not paid an hourly wage. We are only paid commission on trips we book, and only after you return home from traveling.

So that Universal or Disney vacation, Cruise, All inclusive resort stay, etc. that you book on your own, we could have booked it for the same price and you would have helped us build our business… AT NO COST TO YOU.

Booking with a travel agent is a win-win!!!!

The cost of our commission is already included in the cost you pay, whether you use an agent or not. If you book direct - Essentially you are paying for a service you are not receiving.

Always consider hiring a Travel Agent for your vacations!!!

And our tour of the Triona Store. And there demonstration of how they make cloth from the wool of the sheep. They get their different colors from picking flowers and tree leaves, boil them in a big pot and put the spun wool in there to color it. So interesting.

This is what they call a Fairy Tree (also known as a Heather tree). If someone is sick and someone ties a ribbon around the tree, that person will be healed. The legend is that fairies live under the tree.

John B Keane was a famous writer and this is the pub he opened up way back when. And where they lived up above the pub. He is now gone but his son and family still run the pub today. His son is also a writer.
