Ok, I made a post the other day on my personal page asking for a group to try my new experience so I could get photos and video for promotion, I have made arrangements for that, now I’m asking for something else;

I am asking for a group to test the experience, this is a GPS based, augmented reality-enhanced outdoor escape room, no photos, just take the experience for free, make sure I have no glitches or things that don’t make sense.

Your group can be 2-6 people, I need to have this done as soon as possible, the experience is available to the public for bookings starting Wednesday and I need to make sure I have all the bugs worked out.

Fun Coast Tours purchased the local area license to partner with Cluetivity, if you have never heard of it, neither had I.

Cluetivity is going to allow Fun Coast Tours to offer GPS-based Augmented Reality Escape Room-type games in the real world.

Our plan is to offer a kid/family-friendly fantasy called “Magic Portal” in the Esplanade Park, a hacker style experience on and around Beach Street that can be done on foot or upgraded to be done on Segways called “Blackout”, and a 3rd experience that I haven’t quite worked out yet where to offer it.

I have not only purchased the license for Daytona Beach but also Ponce Inlet so I can offer these adventures in that beautiful setting as well!

If this takes off like we hope it will, I will be adding the team feature that allows groups of players to compete against each other and even “hack” each other in order to get an edge over the competition.

I also hope to create an add-on for use on the bar crawls, although I assume the puzzles will have to get easier as the trip goes on…

For all of my followers, residents of Volusia and surrounding counties and our amazing visitors; I would like to announce a new feature that we help will you when planning activities locally.

Our websites, which include funcoasttours.com are now equipped with a NEW FEATURE. This feature was inspired by TripAdvisor which charges a 22%-30% service charge in addition to the price of your activity.

For example, our Segway tour sells for $60 but on TripAdvisor, GetYourGuide and other online travel agencies, the price is $80. I get $60 and they get $20 for introducing you to me.

I thought this was too much so I paid my web developer to add a new feature called “Tours by City.” When you go to my site and select “Tours by City,” you can view tours and activities from Titusville to Sanford to St. Augustine to Daytona Beach, you can book it on my site and you pay EXACTLY what you would pay the provider on their own website!

The next time you are looking for an activity near Daytona Beach, please take a look and see what is being offered right here and all around us all while saving versus channels that price gouge!

Calling all hotel managers on the beach; I offer Segway tours on the beach and have been starting my tour on ISB but the construction has made things kind of scary.

I’m looking for a hotel that is willing to host my Segways so I can launch my tours from there and offer your guests a discount.

I need close access to the beach and a place where my guests can park for the duration of their tour, as well as a small area to conduct safety training and practice.

I know this is a big ask but I think there can be a lot of upside for you to add value for your guests.

I was speaking to a guest on one of my tours the other night and he told me he liked my business idea and that he would like to do something like it in his home town but was afraid it would fail.

Fear is a tricky thing but it’s not the enemy; Fear is a tool, Fear is a line in the sand that keeps you in “your place.” Most people don’t cross that line because they ask themselves “what if it doesn’t work out?” Or “what if I don’t succeed?”

I told him to ask himself these questions: “Is it working out now? Are you succeeding now?”

Taking risks isn’t for everyone, after all, the world needs ditch diggers and bus boys too, trust that the people making moves will be happy if you let fear guide you because that means they have less competition.

Stop giving yourself NO for an answer. You are your best resource, don’t give it away to someone else.

I just got out of a meeting with a local tour guide that had an idea. I need to bounce this idea off of the internet because it is a tour involving excercise, something I am not known for. Please help me crowd source this;

1. A 5k run that ends with a sunset boat ride in the Halifax

Or

2. A 5k run that stops for a drink at 3 or 4 bars in a beautiful area

Merits to either of these, pros and cons if you can
