Sailed up to Rouen, France this morning. It was beautiful weather & sights along the way. After lunch we did a 2 hour city tour then strolled through the city. Maxx even stopped for a milkshake. After dinner we made it an early night as we are headed to the beaches of Normandy tomorrow. It’s going to be an early day. We leave for our tour @ 7:45 till 6:30. Going to be a long day both physically and mentally honoring our fallen heroes!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Sorry for not posting yesterday’s travels but it was a very long day!! We started in Guyon, France. Went into The Chateau de LaRoche-Guyon. What an incredible sight. They had a lot of artifacts from The Monument Men, a special operation in WW2 to recover stolen art. Then sailed to Vernon & Giverny, France to see Claude Monet’s home & gardens. How beautiful they were. Maxx even got to hang out with his cat & The Boys in Blue!!

Had a cool tour of Paris today!! Couldn’t get to a lot of the sights due to the triathlon being run this morning so we were able to see them from the tallest building in Paris!! Headed to dinner now then sailing to our next destination!! Maxx had fun on the tour too!!

Took a 2 hour high speed train from Geneva to Paris!! Arrived at the ship. Had dinner then took a nice walk to take in all the Olympic activities!! Paris is hopping!!

Enjoyed a city tour of Geneva, Switzerland today with a relaxing cruise on Lake Geneva!! Maxx loved the cruise!!

Finished the first leg our European Adventure!! Thanks you German & Uniworld for a fantastic learning experience!! What a great product!! Now we are in Geneva, Switzerland for a couple of days!! We took the train from Lyon, France to Geneva!! Checked into our Marriott hotel and ventured into town for an incredible dinner!! Maxx is now enjoying the views from the room.

Toured this quaint little village of Viviers, France this morning!! At the end of our tour our tour guide invited us into her home where she had prepared a nice little spread of local cheese, olives, pates & wines. She had a beautiful garden where she had a singer perform for us. It was spectacular. We got back on the ship, had lunch then sailed for a few hours arriving in Tain l’Hermitage for the night!!

Maxx started his day with a cup of Joe in Arles,France today. He went to The Van Gogh Museum to see A Starry Night!! And a few other of his works!! Then he was off to Les Baux de Provence & a tour of the St. Michelle olive mill!!

Last night Maxx finally arrived in Marseille, France. He went straight to bed.
Maxx got onto Uniworld’s S.S. Catherine today in Arles, France for the next 7 days. He loves this ship!! He made a few friends while hanging out in a couple of the lounges. We are headed to bed now so we can explore Arles tomorrow. Stay tuned to see his adventures tomorrow. Good night for now!!

After a very, very long frustrating day Maxx is resting before we get on our flight to Paris!! Started with a nice ride in the truck to Orlando, a very relaxing ride on The Brightline Train to Ft. Lauderdale. Where all hell broke loose with a flight cancellation. After several hours of waiting in line for Delta to tell us they could get us to the Marseille, France late on Sunday night after the ship leaves!! Thanks Delta for all your help!! NOT!! But thanks to Nicole & Ben @ Regal Wings for finally securing us a flight out of Miami!! Jumped into an Uber & off to MIA AirPort!! Air France was able to secure our luggage to our final destination!! Now we are just waiting to board!!! Maxx is pooped!! And so are we!! Follow for more adventures of Where in the World is Maxx!!!!
