I hate domestic American Airlines and I hate the airport at Charlotte, NC! Unacceptable. Our original flight from Charlotte to Madison was supposed to leave at 8:30 pm. We are still taxiing to take off at it is now 12:05 AM the NEXT DAY!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Lunchtime walk! Brought my average time per mile down by several minutes!!! 19.29 minutes per mile. Down from 25.64 minutes per mile just a bit over a week ago!!

Did an awesome walk with a ton of stairs at lunch today. Actually did the entire circuit around the Capitol building, but forgot to start my tracking until after I’d done 1 corner and stairs. So actually got in closer to half a mile. Will be doing this every day there is reasonably decent weather and tracking my progress for breathing, strength, speed, and how many times around I can get before I have to stop. Got to get myself ready for walking in the mountains of Switzerland this August!

NOTICE: My website will be undergoing major renovations over the coming weeks and months as I upgrade it to include better functionality including customer login, ability to register for hosted tours, and a payment portal. In the meantime, you may find a few broken links and things that don’t look quite right from time to time. LOTS of work going on in the background at Globetrotter Granny.

Currently awaiting completed documents back from my business attorney so that I can properly and ethically register folks for tours—including the May 2025 Coastal Scotland/Northumberland Tour (was hoping to get those to folks two weeks ago, but sometimes things take longer than expected). Those should FINALLY be in my hands early this next week. Looooooong time coming but it will be worth it in the end.

It’s amazing just how much goes into creating and hosting tours. It’s not a simple thing of just throwing an itinerary together and asking people to join you. LOTS involved!
