Patient presented with fever, cough, chills, and muscle aches. What’s the diagnosis? It’s a viral infection but it’s not just any viral infection. It’s the Flu type B. The first positive Flu in the area. The Flu is here! The good news is that there is treatment for it. Get yourself checked out right away if you have some or all of the above symptoms. The antiviral medication works best within the first 48 hours.

Someone else is going to have to prepare the holiday dinner! Elbow pain after a fall. The pain didn’t resolve with over the counter medication! What is going on? It’s a non-displaced fracture of the radial head. Treatment: Splint cast for 6-8 weeks.

Strep test negative! What is it? Arcanobacterium Haemolyticum. Looks like Strep and acts like Strep but the treatment is different! Known to cause pharyngitis, sinusitis and neck infections. Presents with symptoms of sore throat.
