Those of you who have trips planned this summer be patient the virus will pass probably by the middle to the end of May. If you have insurance with cancel for any reason you are fine, the fear of the virus is not a covered cause for a claim otherwise unless your hotel or air is cancelled.

The following information is from the State Of Alabama. Gov concerning the Real Id or Star.

Starting October 1, 2020, every air traveler will need to present a REAL ID-compliant license or another acceptable form of identification for domestic air travel. (Passport)

Documents required to get your Star (Real ID) on your driver's license
• Valid, unexpired U.S. passport
• Original or certified copy of birth certificate
• Consular Report of Birth Abroad
• Certificate of Naturalization issued by Department of Homeland Security
• Certificate of Citizenship issued by DHS

For cases where the current name and the name on the primary identity document are different, you should also bring:
• Court ordered name change document
• Marriage certificate, issued by the courts and/or
• Divorce decree, issued by the courts

Both Citizens and Non-Citizens will need to bring:
• Your Social Security Card
• Two documents that show your principal residence

What if my utility bills are in my spouse's or parent's name?
If you present utility bills to verify the address of your principal residence, and those bills are in your spouse's name, you must bring your marriage certificate. If utility bills are in your parent's name, you may use your birth certificate.

According to the rules, you will have to purchase a new driver's license. I received a favor and did not have to pay for the new license so ask. You may get lucky.

Remember that Oct 1, 2020 is the deadline for getting your "REAL ID STAR" on your drivers license so you can use your drivers license as an ID to fly in the US.
Start now because the crowds will get worse at the drivers license department as the date gets closer.
Without the Star on your license after Oct 1, 2020 you will need a passport to fly and if you do not have a passport YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO FLY.
Go on line to get information on the required documents you must take with you to get the Star.
Act now, get ahead of the crowd.

Faye and I returned recently from South Africa, Cape Town and Cape of Good hope which is the most southern tip of Africa.

Were gone 18 days. Part of the trip, 6 days in Cape Town, was a reward for Elite Travel being in the top 50 agencies in North America in sales for our consorteum. Quite an honor and Elite Travel is very proud of this recognition.

While we were there we went on 2 safaris. One at Jackleberry lodge in Kruger National Park where we were able to see the Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Cape buffalo, Elephant). Later we went to Chobe National Park which is known especially for Elephants. We saw herds of 200 to 300 Elephants. Both Kruger and Chobe are very wooded with brush which makes game viewing much more difficult.
We finished the trip by going to Victoria Falls. It was an absolutely wonderful way to end our trip.
We found that Kenya and Tanzania's Masai Mara and Serengeti plains offer much much better game viewing since the land is more open than South African parks. There you can easily see 2,000 animals at one time.

The leopard which are normally very reclusive animals was 15 feet from us going up and down trees by our trail for 59 minutes. A very rare experience to be with a leopard that long. Normally if you are lucky enough to see a leopard it will be in the bush and difficult to see well.
