Our agency had our annual awards night last night & it was so much fun celebrating all the hard work of the Second Story agents in 2024! 🙌

Being a travel advisor is hard work - we work odd hours, handle travel emergencies, and work through details and logistics on the daily. But it's also a very rewarding: planning vacations with our clients is the best job ever! Last night we took time to recognize everyone's successes and achievements.

So a big CONGRATS to all the agents who won awards last night!!

And guess what? We had a year long contest in 2024 with 3 winners - the winners won a 3 night Disney Cruise trip in May!! How fun is that? 🛳️

I'm already just so excited for 2025 with these ladies! 🫶

Sara's Top 10 tips for your next vacation:

Tip # 6 - Book Away We Go for your Orlando area transfers.

You probably know this one already if you've been around for awhile, but I ADORE Away We Go and use them for all my personal trips, whether it's to Disney World, Universal, or Port Canaveral.

Sara's Top 10 tips for your next vacation:

Tip # 5 - Only buy a park to park Universal theme park ticket and NOT a 1 park/day ticket.

Why?

Because it allows you to visit Universal Studios AND Islands of Adventure in the same day, but more importantly, it allows you to ride the Hogwarts Express train ride, which is amazing and must be experienced both ways if you are a Harry Potter fan.

Sara's Top 10 tips for your next vacation:

Tip # 4 - Buy a popcorn bucket.

But not a super fancy one that is a special shape. One like this - simple and effective.

And then, pack it with you for every single Disney Cruise you take! The refills are so cheap and we go to the nightly theater shows and movies on the ship, and always refill our popcorn buckets multiple times.

Yes, you can use any Disney popcorn bucket (even from the parks) on a Disney Cruise (I asked to make sure it was ok).

And BONUS tip: we bring an empty popcorn bucket to Castaway Cay and fill 'er up with those amazing island chocolate chip cookies for later! 😋

Sara's Top 10 tips for your next vacation:

Tip # 3 - Don't sleep on Disneyland!

Yes, it might be a hike for those of us East of the Mississippi, but it's so worth the extra travel time!

Disneyland is compact: you can walk from all 3 Disneyland hotels to the 2 theme parks and you can walk from one park entrance to the other park's entrance in a couple of minutes.

The characters in Disneyland are top tier and they are every.where. I swear, they find you, you don't find them, because every time you turn around, there's another character to hug!

And Lightning Lanes work extremely smoothly in Disneyland vs. Disney World. You book your first when you enter the park, and it is really rare that a ride sells out of times in a day. Plus, you can add in Lightning Lanes to your vacation package so it's taken care of before you arrive.

And don't even get me started on the rides, the shows, the lands, the food!! Ah!

Tip # 2 - Buy the Memory Maker. It's worth the $185 and it can be used for everyone in your party, across multiple rooms, on the same vacation.

Tip # 1 - ALWAYS, always, always fly or drive down 1 day early before a cruise.

Why?

Because unlike land vacations, that cruise ship waits for NO man. When it is time to leave, she's setting sail with or without you. My anxiety can't handle flying down the same day especially the way flights are these days!

Bonus tip: I help with pre-cruise stays for my clients routinely and have hotels I recommend before your cruise for all the major ports!
