Consider this your new go-to stop for Norwegian inspired treats and menu items --- anytime of the year! Owners Cheryl Haggerty and Rodney "Flash" Flaskerud have a passion for Norwegian cuisine and are excited to share it with YOU when visiting the Decorah area.

Lefse Lodge Kafe currently offers a limited menu including Norwegian treats such as lefse, kringla, and rømmegrøt. Guests can enjoy other freshly baked goods, coffee, breakfast dishes and lunch options too, all crafted with care.

It's the most wonderful time of the year --- especially THIS weekend in Winneshiek County. ⭐️ Holiday festivities take place in our part of the Driftless Region each year from November to the end of December, but the first weekend of December is always the most jam-packed with holiday cheer! Decorah is highlighted as a place to discover and wander in the newest issue of ROVA magazine. Rova is all about traveling the roads of North America—- the stories, the images, and the locations. Decorah is among great company in the December/January 2024-2025 issue, available now, on pages 81-85.

The 20th annual Holiday Lights season kicks off next week in Decorah! Holiday Lights is a long-running tradition brought to the community by Helping Services for Youth & Families, bringing holiday cheer through lighted displays at Decorah Parks and Recreation's Pulpit Rock Campground off of HWY 52.

2024 Holiday Lights Events:
🎄Wednesday, Nov. 27, 5-7:30PM: Opening Night / Walk-Through Night!
🎄Thanksgiving Day - Christmas Day 5-9PM: Drive-Through Experiences Daily
🎄Every Friday/Saturday/Sunday for the season: Santa Visits 5-7:30PM
🎄Dec. 25 / Christmas Day: Last night for the season

The Holiday Lights Walk-Through Night Opening Night is a unique, one-night-only chance to explore the displays on foot before the official drive-through opportunities take place every evening Thanksgiving Day to Christmas Day. Join the fun for this special evening which also includes free soup, cookies, hot chocolate, Pokey Pete train rides for kids, photos with Santa, and local holiday choirs. This weekend Luther College celebrates Homecoming, giving alumni of the college an opportunity to return to the area to reconnect with classmates, faculty, and friends and enjoy the beauty of the Luther campus and Decorah in the fall.

At Luther College, students explore big questions and take action to benefit people, communities and society --- all while living on campus in Decorah and/or using it as their home base when traveling for worldwide opportunities! Luther's academic programs, experiential approach to learning and welcoming community inspire students to learn actively, live purposefully and lead courageously for a lifetime of impact. Pulpit Rock Brewing Company is hosting live Music tomorrow night, Friday Oct 25 from 7-10pm, featuring Michael McElrath. Alma Matter beer is back in cans for the big weekend—part of the proceeds of this beer go to the Luther Fund!

October 8-12 is Decorah Pride Festival Week in Decorah! While LGBTQIA+ Pride month is held nationally in June, the Decorah Pride Festival week is intentionally scheduled annually in the fall to include Luther College students in the festivities.
