About fifteen years ago I was invited to my first scrapbooking class. I was immediately inspired by the idea of preserving my family’s stories. After creating only two pages in my very first scrapbook, I became a CM consultant. I spent many enjoyable years teaching the value of scrapbooking and holding fun workshops for family and friends. As time passed, the opportunity to share my passion for pr

eserving family memories became few and far between. Providing only a few weekend workshops a year for my customers just wasn't enough time for them to stay caught up on their scrapbooks. I knew something had to change if I was going to continue sharing my passion and love for scrapbooking. So when an opportunity presented itself, my hubby and I decided to go for it!! In August 2013 my family and I worked hard to turn our rental home into the Crafty Crop Inn! Giving our friends, family, loyal customers and anyone who has a passion for scrapbooking the opportunity to rent the home by the weekend when it’s convenient for them. If you are into scrapbooking, quilting, knitting, beading or card making then the Crafty Crop Inn is just the place for a fun-filled weekend getaway. The Crafty Crop Inn welcomes crafters of all types and is located in Deerfield, Michigan. Enjoy the relaxing country atmosphere, the peace and quiet as you work on your projects and have all kinds of fun while doing so. The Crafty Crop Inn offers a place to rent for an un-hosted weekend. This means we provide the lodging, linens, crop space and full kitchen facilities while you provide your own meals, snacks and beverages. The Crafty Crop Inn will accommodate up to 8 guests comfortably. There are 3 guest bedrooms with 8 twin beds. There are 2 full bathrooms that are equipped with extra towels, toiletries and a hairdryer. In our brightly lit crop room, each station has a 6' table and cup holder. This crop room can also be used for any crafting group: stamping, quilting, knitting, beading, etc.

Just to update all my crafty friends. As you may have heard, Close to my Heart is closing its doors but they have secured a new pathway for all their makers with Stampin Up. I will continue to do what I love and that is to continue to learn and share my love of Scrapbooking, Cardmaking & Papercrafting. When making this updated tour of the inn, it brought tears to my eyes to see how far we have come in 8 years! We could have never done it without the support of our family, friends, and guests. Come on in and take a look around, we hope you enjoy the tour.

A big shout out to our weekend guests who didn't mind us doing a little yard work today. Funny how a 40lb bag of mulch increases in weight as the day goes on. 😉 This Inn keeper is going to sleep good tonight!

Our mission of combining the two crop rooms into one is finally complete! A great big thank you to Paul Eldredge and my husband Mark who put in long hours and hard work to make this amazing room. I'm over the moon with excitement and turned out better than I had imagined.
