One of the things I love about being on safari is getting to know the staff. The staff at Hoanib Valley Camp was so caring, fun and spirited!
Our hope is shared with you Ralph, Whinnie and Mumsie. Here’s to a return to travel and healthy 2022 😊❤️🇳🇦

Next stop on our Namibia adventure, Shipwreck Lodge on the Skeleton Coast!
Thank you to our expert guide Immanuel, the Desert Elephant. You truly made this crazy remote place come to life!
In this video Immanuel shares his hope for conserving our planet for the generations to come. We also talk about the important role @naturalselectiontravel is having involving the local communities in the success of conservation.

What message can we share to encourage our fellow travelers to return to travel? Hope. Hope that the worst of the pandemic is behind us. Hope that we can and will get out and travel again. Hope that great adventures are ahead.
This pandemic has left no one untouched, not even those living in the most remote places of our planet. When we stop traveling the ripple effect of that is felt so deeply. Here in Africa with borders closed, lodges had to close; with lodges closed, local jobs were lost, money for food and basic supplies was gone, funds for community and conservation projects were deeply impacted.
But what can we do? We can return to travel.
Here is the first of a series of messages of hope from my recent trip to Namibia. During my trip I asked the guides and staff at each property a few fun questions and their hope for 2022. My hope is to inspire a return to travel and especially to Africa.

To Owl and Honey Badger, thank you for making our stay at Kwessi Dunes so amazing. From driving ATVs on the dunes and experiencing the beauty of your desert; to the singing and dancing surprise for my birthday- it was all so special.
