Get to know your 2025 February Member of the Month - Carroll County Senior and Family Services!🎉

We asked Ashley Wilson some questions to share with the community to get to know the organization better. Learn more about our 2025 February Member of the Month below.

1) How long has Carroll County Senior & Family Services been an organization?
Carroll County Senior & Family Services has existed in the community since 1974, providing services to Seniors & Disabled. We are committed to our mission statement; "To enable Seniors & Disabled of the county to stay in their own homes and assist in providing a healthy life in body mind and spirit." These services include: Transportation, Homemaker, Daily Care Calls, Congregate meals, Wellness, Fitness and Activities.

2) What are some of the things your organization does and offer?
We provide transportation services, offer Midland Meals two times a week, have a monthly bus shopping and lunch trip, offer monthly Art classes, cards and bingo. We provide Care Calls to clients, pedicures monthly by appt, AARP tax services Feb-April. Our organization also helps clients and families with referrals.

3) What is something you would like people to know about Carroll County Senior & Family Services that most people have no idea you do?
First and foremost, we lead our office with loving hearts. We have office hours 8-4, but its not uncommon to be on the road at 5:00am transporting a client or picking up someone after hours. We can take Carroll County residents anywhere in the state for appts. We are partnered with 3 Medicaid transportation companies. We are often asked if we accept donations. We appreciate any donation we receive. The services we provide and new services can be offered depend on the funding we receive.

4) What are you most proud of?
The wonderful friends we have made and the opportunity to make a difference in their lives. We love the fact that people see the good we do and want to volunteer and help us do more for our Seniors & Disabled. We have wonderful drivers that help get people to and from appointments in the early morning and after hours when necessary.

5) What is one reason you continue to be a loyal member of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce?
We appreciate all that the Chamber does for the community and the support they give us as a business. It gives us the opportunity to get more involved with the community.

Thank you to everyone who came out today to our 2025 State Legislative Luncheon. It was great hearing from our state legislators, Senator Ron Alting and Representative Heath VanNatter!

All attendees enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Mitchell's Mexican Grill.

She’s your new Executive Director, Madison Kauffman!

Madison was on the Chamber’s first visitor guide publication in 2007 created by QGraphics, Inc.. Talk about a full-circle moment!

We are excited to welcome Madison as our new Executive Director. With her experience, enthusiasm, and established role within the CCCC, we look forward to the continued growth and success of our organization. We are thrilled to have Madison on board and excited for the future ahead!

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Julia for her exceptional leadership and dedication to the CCCC while serving as Executive Director. Her contributions have had a lasting impact, and we are truly grateful for the vision and passion she brought to this community.

Many events and programs have thrived under her leadership including the BizExcel program, Indiana Bacon Festival, tourism marketing grants, and more!

We are super sad to see her go but wish her the best in her new position with the City of Delphi, Indiana!
