The time has come to make a MAJOR announcement!
(Edited to add that the addition of evening hours will have ZERO impact on brunch and lunch from 8am-2pm, Tuesday-Saturday. Business as usual for brunch and lunch!) ‼️‼️‼️‼️ We are simply offering somewhat different services from 2pm-8pm.
Beginning Friday, January 14 we will be staying open until 8PM Tuesday-Saturday!
From 2-8PM we will not be serving made-to-order items from our lunch menu. However, we will have fresh salads, sandwiches, snack boxes and various other savory items available in the grab n go cooler. Of course the dining room and patio will be open so that you will have a lovely place to enjoy a light meal, homemade dessert and amazing espresso.
Why now? We have an incredible employee who is currently working two jobs to put herself through college. Due to changes in her schedule she will no longer be able to assist us during lunch so we have decided to create an evening position for her. We feel that this will be a beneficial situation to all involved including our wonderful Blackbird customers!
We realize that many of you have been hoping that we would serve our lunch menu in the evenings since we opened, but that just isn’t a possibility due to the prep involved for the type of foods that we serve, and of course, staffing issues. The evening crew will consist of 2-3 team members to ensure customer service that meets Blackbird standards.
We are anticipating some negative feedback due to our inability to prep enough food for an evening run, but we kindly ask that you refrain from making comments and remarks (on social media & in person) that will make our team feel that they are not doing enough to accommodate; it’s just bad for morale. 😉
With that being said, please make plans to visit us in the evenings beginning Jan. 14 and let Madison prepare your favorite espresso beverages! 🖤
