Three-year-old Dane was a happy, energetic kid, until his parents noticed that he was catching more colds than usual, and they weren’t going away. Then came the devastating diagnosis: EBV-driven T-cell lymphoma complicated by hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH)—a rare, life-threatening disease that causes the immune system to attack the body instead of protecting it.

Since his condition is so rare, few physicians knew how to deal with it. But hope arrived in the form of a specialist in Denver—Dane’s best chance at survival. The catch? His family had to pack up their lives in Montana and move to Colorado immediately, without knowing when they could return home.

That’s when they found Brent’s Place.

Last year, we expanded our housing capacity to meet the growing need for longer stays and deeper, more personalized support. We proudly provided the most room nights in the organization's 27-year history, serving more than 400 families!

This is very exciting! I had the honor to travel to Madison Wisconsin in 2009, where Team Rocky Mountain became my family! This was just a few months after Jake had passed. I was forever touched by love, courage and hope.! Take Jake has sponsored Team Rocky Mountain for several years now and many of you have had the pleasure to meet some of the team at our events! We look forward to participating and cheering you all on in 2026!!
