📍 San Diego & Coronado Island
Food & Drinks:
There are a bunch of shops, restaurants and bars on Coronado Island. Here are a few places I checked out.
• - Great selection of locally brewed beers, tasty food and a perfect patio to soak up the sunshine.
• - Clayton’s has an excellent menu w/ breakfast served all day!
Milkshakes for days, tasty pies and a donut window open all day too!
• - Looking for some tacos? Look no further! This hidden gem has something delicious for everyone! I tried their Al Pastor tacos, Birria and fish tacos mmmmm mmmmm goood!
• - The islands only Dive bar!
Cheap drinks, pool table and a fun atmosphere
• - Amazing selection of beer, wine and spirits. Grab a tasty sandwich or pizza to enjoy.
They even have a section dedicated to locally made spirits!
• *Not on Coronado Island*
Another great local brewery and the view is top notch!
Things to Do:
• There are a handful of thrift shops on the island, they support the military community as well as those affected by the fires in LA.
• Tee off at one of the many golf courses! is North of SD, in Oceanside.
It was a fun & hilly course. Dog friendly too!
• Take the ferry across the bay to downtown San Diego- $9 one way and $18 round trip
• Rent a bike from one of the many local shops and ride the bike trail around the island. Most go for about $10hr
• Take a stroll along the beach and see how many seashells you can find
Being at the beach is always refreshing and enlightening.
The salty air, the views and the tacos make me one happy chick!
