Wait!✋Before you go on Thanksgiving break, make your Colorado Gives Day gift to The GrowHaus!
Through The GrowHaus’ food access program, fresh produce like the peppers, carrots, and bananas you see here reaches over 6,000 people every month! As Colorado Gives Day approaches, you have the opportunity to partner with our team to expand fresh food access. A gift of $50 provides one household in our community with 20 lbs. of fresh produce, which we’ll distribute at one of our five new food access sites opening next year! Be one of the 300 people we need to donate to The GrowHaus on Colorado Gives Day to unlock a $30,000 challenge fund and increase access to fresh food! We can’t miss this incredible opportunity! Ready to level up your support of food justice? Now is your chance to roll up your sleeves to ensure that your neighbors have reliable access to fresh food.
The price of food has risen over 25% in the last four years (USDA). TThe GrowHaus’ team of community leaders is expanding our work to ease this burden for our neighbors by creating five additional food access sites and launching a pop-up community choice market in the coming year. We need to expand our network of supporters to sustain this growth and continue to meet the pressing need for food access. That’s why we have an ambitous goal for 300 people to donate this #ColoradoGivesDay. When we reach this goal, some of The GrowHaus’ most trusted supporters will donate an additional $30,000! We can not miss this opportunity!
Will you create your own Colorado Gives Day fundraising page for The GrowHaus to champion our work expanding fresh food access? Head to the link in our bio to learn from our own Nina Roumell how to setup a page in just a few simple steps.
As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to an end, our team shares reflections on what this time means to them. We hope you’ll take a minute to listen to their thoughts. What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you?

A Native American Proverb says “Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me, and I may not remember. Involve me, and I’ll understand”.
Seed2Seed students were involved in an activity to sharpen their observation skills at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farm. On a scavenger hunt mission to find something small, something tall, a bug, a bird, and more, teens explored the gardens with keen eyes and developed an awareness of self and surroundings. #observationskills #denverbotanicgardens #scavengerhunt
Our friends from Paralel Technologies joined us at our Food Access Warehouse to help us pack and distribute fresh food boxes!
Alongside our community-led team, Paralel packed 160 boxes filled with nutritious food to be distributed at 15 different Denver Public Library locations throughout the city. They also connected with the Globeville, Elyria, and Swansea communities as our neighbors came to retrieve their fresh produce!
Together, we provide essential fresh food access throughout Denver. But this work goes beyond food distribution, it is about health equity, security, and happiness. Thank you, Paralel, for joining us in creating a brighter future for Denver!
