For the last few weeks, the answer to the question of “What do you want to be for Halloween?” was completely dependent on the mood she found herself in while reviewing her princess dress collection. TBH, the decision this morning relied heavily on the shoes, because one certainly cannot mix Ariel shoes with a Tiana dress, now could they? Just about this time last year, I was at Universal Orlando training to add Universal destinations to my vacation planning toolbox. And now this week, we’ve finally found out that the opening date for the newest theme park, Epic Universe, will be May 22, 2025! This park is going to feature five new lands including Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—Ministry of Magic. Select multi-day tickets and packages will go on sale October 22. Bookings for Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel, will also be made available.

I always get questions about the value of the Disney Dining Plan and my answer is that its value is completely individual. Personally? I love having my meals pre-paid for. I love being able to tell my kids that they can get the snacks without worrying about my meal budget. And because I’ve already paid for it, I’m much more likely to get that specialty beverage I wouldn’t normally indulge in. But some families have kids that eat like birds. Or they prefer to bring their own snacks. Or they like to share meals. No biggie. The value in the dining plan is the value it has for YOU.

Disney Day at school today! °o° Literally the only school spirit day that I don’t dread. 90s Day? Don’t bother me. Sports day? Have you met me? Crazy Hair Day? Ain’t nobody got time for that (well me at least). But Disney Day? Dig right through the drawers and it doesn’t matter how much laundry is dirty, there’s something there ready to go!

This is your Disney Prime Day Tip! One of the top items on my Disney packing list is a portable charger. are my favorite option, and they are on special today for Prime Day! Even if you have a new phone with a great battery, it’s not likely to make it through a day (or even half a day) at the parks. Between taking pictures and videos, looking at ride wait times, mobile ordering food, and checking maps, your phone is going to take a hit. Fuel Rods check all of the boxes because they are small, come with multiple charging plugs, and you can swap drained ones for charged ones all over Disney World. And while there is a fee associated with swapping Fuel Rods at most locations—in Disney World, it’s free! It’s a great little time saver and you don’t have to worry about forgetting to charge your charger at night, or carrying around multiple heavy batteries!
