Mr. Kenneth Midkiff played lead guitar on Sam Pruitt’s song, “The Hanging Jail,” which was recorded in 1976.

Kenneth is one of the folks who come to play at our monthly Bluegrass Jams.

Kenneth said Pruitt’s record was produced by Jin & Swallow’s “One Way” Records in Ville Platte, La.

Musicians, in addition to Kenneth, were Doug Roberts on bass and Pruitt on rhythm guitar with vocals.

Come out to Unity Baptist Church (corner of 171 & Catfish Hut Rd in DeRidder) on Sat 9/21 10AM-2PM & SHOP LOCAL!!! Indoor event!!

Proceeds from Booth fees, concessions & raffle goes to send our kids to church camp this upcoming summer!

Seeing Bossier City’s East Bank has been a fun learning experience. Seeing how other towns and cities bring vitality into their old historic steets is freshing and well worth the drive to come experience!

Hanging By A Thread Quilt Show, presented by Common Threads Quilt Guild, will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Beauregard Parish Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall, 506 West Drive, . Admission is $5. Lots of quilts to browse, vendors, displays, and more!
