Safe travels to those that are visiting friends and family over the next couple days.
While it was a beautiful day for travel around the Midwest; my thoughts and prayers are with those in the southeast Caribbean as they experience a category 4 hurricane, Hurricane Beryl.
If you or someone you know plan to travel to any of the below areas you may want to consider rescheduling or ensuring your property is safe to visit still.
Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, St. Vincent, Grenadines, Jamaica, and Mexico.
Unfortunately, all things must come to an endā¦
It was a great weekend for a āgirls trip,ā however, itāll be nice to be back home with my family in just a couple hours!
And like that Iām outta here for a quick weekend trip!

If you are planning to go on vacation and want others to join your group, donāt have them wait. I just had a couple clients want to join a group that booked 4 months ago.
As you can imagine inventory has quickly depleted for the exact same itinerary and there has been an astronomical price increaseā¦. More than double the price of what the original couple paid is what is now being charged by the airline and resort.
Unfortunately, I can try to work magic but when inventory is low, the companies can mark the price to whatever they want knowing that if you wonāt pay the price, the next customer will.
So please be mindful and donāt delay in making your reservations.
Another couple will be joining in on this phenomenal getaway!
Repeat clients have been booked!
This family of 6 will take off for their family vacation next February! While theyāre gone they get to celebrate the lead travelers 50th birthday too, so thatās an added bonus! š
Iām beyond excited for this group to go to Couples Negril in Jamaica. Thereās nothing better than getting to enjoy one anotherās company while living in paradise for a week!

I am fortunate to be given the opportunity to book for repeat clients!

Clients booked!
This couple will take off in September to go to Mackinac Island, Michigan. Theyāll take the ferry over from the City and spend a few days at the Bicycle Inn and Suites on the Island which is in the business district. These two will be in close proximity to the restaurant and shops, and right off the dock so will have easy access to loading and unloading from the ferry.
Their flight departs first thing in the morning so theyāll catch one of the last ferryās out of the Island and then stay across from the airport in Pellston at the Pellston Lodge.
I wish these two nothing but the best sight-seeing and exploring the islands history while enjoying the outdoors!
Services booked: Flight, Hotel*2, Ferry, and Insurance

Friday, May 29th: Travel Day #4ā Homeward Bound
We got home late Friday and had to unpackā¦ unpacking is the worst part of vacation, but itās well worth it to experience a week of doing nothing but taking in the moment with those you love.
If youāre looking to take a trip to the UP (or anywhere for that matter)ā please reach out. I would love to help with your vacation needs.
For those that have reached out for quotes, Iām sorry for the delay. Iām trying to get caught up with the work/home life balance again and then work on travel, as possible at night! I hope to have all responses returned by this weekend.
Attached are random photos from our drives around the area!
Thursday, May 28th: Travel Day #3 and Stop #3
We hit the road early in the morning and stopped in Marquette, MI for lunch. It was a beautiful town that we stopped at a park near the Habor for my son to run off some energy before sitting down for lunch.
Then onward, we spent the night in Duluth, MN at the Pier B Resort. It was a beautiful property from the outside with a whole section for kids to play, they provided sāmores kits at night, and was right off the Port, however, it was a your typical hotel roomā¦ nothing comparable to the one in WI. I would encourage this property to those staying in the area, but donāt expect luxury with this one.

Wednesday, May 29th: Mackinac Island (Fort Mackinac Museum and Arch Rock)
We drove to St. Ignace to catch Sheplerās Ferry to get to Mackinac Island. Anyone that is looking to go to Mackinac Island, I encourage boarding from St. Ignace because itās a lot less populated than Mackinac City, and it has free day parking right at the port.
We had lunch once we arrived and then went exploring the area. We read lots of signs, explored the land, went through the Fort Mackinac Museum, and ended our day seeing the Arch Rock.
This was a full day adventure, and we didnāt even come close to seeing the whole island like my sister and her boyfriend. They did the horse carriage tour which covers the whole island over an hour and a half opposed to a family of three walking everywhere. If youāre looking to cover a lot of ground quick- this is the way to go!
Also, be sure to wear good tennis shoes because thereās a ton of walking and the hill up to the Fort is absolutely no joke.
Tuesday, May 28th: Shipwreck Museum
This Museum was just a couple miles from the house we were staying at. It was amazing to go through all the buildings and learn the history of the lake, but also physically see the bell that was recovered in 1995 from the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Over 350 ships have wrecked in Lake Superior, of which 2 that were mentioned in the museum were in the Whitefish Point area which is where the house we were staying at was. Most of the wrecks were due to the fog and/or wave sizes.
The fascinating part about freshwater is the temperature is cold enough that the ships that do wreck look (nearly) the exact same as when they crashed.
Monday, May 27th: Point Iroquois Lighthouse and Sault Saint Marie, Canada
We stopped off at Point Iroquois Lighthouse to explore the area. With it being Memorial Day, the Museum was closed, but we were still able to explore the grounds and beaches. Itās amazing how much the beach composition can vary in so few miles to even across the state. Some sand is so fine and others are nothing but giant rocks.
Then onto Sault Saint Marie. We drove around the Michigan side and then went and had lunch on the Canada side.
We tried looking for the trails to get to a scenic overlook, but they donāt exactly have areas to park and leave your car.. what we did find was an unmarked two lane road with no shoulder that they wanted us to leave our car onā¦ We didnāt want to gamble if our car was going to be there when we got back so passed on that one and found a mini waterfall for quick photos to say we went.
As we drove across the International Bridge we had the chance to see the Soo Locks. It was impressive the size of cargo that go through the portsā¦ we even got to see several ships sail right by the house we were staying at headed for here.
Sunday, May 26th: Tahquamenon āRoot Beerā Falls and Pictured Rocks
We started our day going to Munising to do the Pictured Rocks Tour which involved a two hour boat ride. We got to see and hear about all the historical background of Lake Superior and all the different rock formations.
We ended our day hiking to the Tahquamenon (Upper and Lower) āRoot Beerā Falls.
Saturday, May 25th: Travel Day #2; Final Destination
After 6 hours of driving, a time change, a breakfast and lunch stop- we arrived at our destination.
We stayed at this beautiful property in Paradise, MI on Lake Superior. Absolutely beautiful views with nothing but the sight of trees and water as far as the eye can see.

Friday, May 24th: Travel Day #1 and Stop #1
We got a late start to our trip (4 hour delay) as we had a storm come through our area and make a mess that needed tended to prior to departure.
With the delay to our trip meant we didnāt get to enjoy Green Bay, WI as much as we had hoped but it was still phenomenal. It was raining so we didnāt get to utilize the patio area of our hotel or walk around the vicinity, but we did do dinner at Hinterland in the Titletown area.
We stayed at Lodge Kohler which is right across the road from Lambeau Stadium. This was the cleanest and nicest hotel I have ever stayed at, and the staff were remarkable. They helped us unload our vehicle and then helped get our cart of belongings from the lobby and to our room. An added bonus, they great with my wound up 2 year old that had been sitting in the car all day and won the way to his heart with his own baggie of goldfish.
I will ALWAYS promote this hotel to my clients if they will be in the area. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel.

Ugh. Getting back into the groove after vacation is the worst!
Our family took a week long vacation to the Upper Peninsula which was long overdue. This was the first family vacation we have taken since my son was born and first vacation with my entire family since high school!
To go back and do it again, I would do in a heartbeat. It was great spending time with family, explore the area, and being able to avoid the āeverydayā life was unforgettable.
Over the next few days Iāll be posting our route and things we did! Thereās so much to do in the UP we didnāt even come close to running out of things to do, so to begin planning our next time up thereā¦

Stop #2: Sydney, Australia
This is the final stop before these 3 couples set sail on an Australian Princess Cruise. They will spend a couple days here exploring the city and everything it has to offer before departure!
After their time here, they will take a one-way transfer from their hotel to the cruise port. They wonāt have to worry about catching a cab, renting a car, or using public transportationā itās already set up and they can just sit back and enjoy the moment.
Be sure to take advantage of that š% off through Viator until tomorrow at 11:59pm ET as it really adds up when booking transfers and excursions as to how much can be saved!

Stop #1 is Cairns, Australiaā¦ They will be staying in Cairns Plaza Hotel with an ocean view room, so they get to wake up to exactly what the photos show!

Excursion #2 in Cairns, Australia: Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge, and Daintree Rainforest Day Trip
This city has so many adventure opportunities itās hard to narrow down just a few in the short time in the city!
A perk to this excursion, is they provide the transportation (pick up at your hotel or nearby) as long as you stay in Cairns City!
