Snowing at Serenity by the Shore at Destin Pointe. The previous snow record in Northwest Florida was 3 inches in 1895 and we far exceeded that (with 6” in Destin), so alot of rare factors of weather and timing had to line up for this to happen. Destin Harbor Fireworks

I wanted to remind you of the fireworks’ show on Thursday at Serenity by the Shore. It makes a great highlight to your vacation! They go off at 9pm over the harbor. The best place to watch them is to walk to our harbor side beach at the end of our street. If you do not want to walk out on the beach, you can see them from the pool in front of the Magnolia House Condominiums or you can see them pretty well from our third floor windows at the top of the stairs or our 3rd floor back balcony as shown here. Did you know that we are constantly improving our luxury standards for our guest’s comfort by ensuring Serenity by the Shore is well-maintained and equipped with top-notch amenities? During the winter months when we have less guests, we took the opportunity to make several upgrades to the property. We had the air ducts cleaned and added a dehumidifier to the system, installed new windows, power washed the house and roof, insulated balcony doors, replaced bed linens and towels, deep cleaned the entire house including carpets, furniture, and appliances, repainted scuffed walls, ensured all lights, appliances and alarms are working fine, all batteries (and there are a lot of them!) have been checked and replaced as needed, painted balconies and windows, installed a new fence, and power washed and painted the rest of the fence. Additionally, we leveled out the driveway pavers, re-grouted the master shower, conducted a thorough inventory of the entire house to make sure guests have everything they may need, added a new clothes steamer, a new Weber BBQ grill, a new front door wreath, and a Spikeball set, plus soon we will receive a new custom cornhole set! Also, for TV watchers…besides having Cox Premium Cable Channels Package for guests, we’ve added a DirectTv app with even more premium cable channels.
