Timberview Helicopters has been blessed to be able to offer assistance alongside so many others helping in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. The devastation is indescribable and even these videos can’t begin to compare to the real situation that occurred and is still being experienced by the Bahamas residents.
We are so proud to have met and teamed up with an incredible group called Medic Corps, which pulled together one of the most organized and impactful aide missions we have ever witnessed. This team was able to completely take over and fully operate the Marsh Harbor airport FBO while coordinating drop offs and dispersement of supplies that have flooded onto the Abaco Island. They also arranged travel for evacuees as well as volunteers in and out of the center. They directed aircraft from private and military operations, provided fuel for aide drop-offs throughout the islands, managed fuel trucks, loaded and unloaded supplies, maintained the premises inside and out, supplied snacks and water to volunteers that worked endless hours in the blistering heat, figured out how to reestablish A/C, running water and power to the building, and so much more. They got more accomplished in the first several days post hurricane than most government organizations get done at all!
