Our new friends battled some bigger than forecasted seas on Sunday to bring home dinner! The triggers were ravenous. They got some nice trolling bites and fish tacos between the swells… 🎣 🛥️ 🌊

Good trip with our KY crew. Everyone had a great time and got to pull on some fish for both the grill and release. There were also some breakoffs and sore muscles 😎.

We found the AJs in a few places, and are looking forward to targeting them come Sept. 1! 🎣

Our friends, the Bagget’s,from Atlanta brought their kids and got a great trip in under calm weather on May 30. We caught red snapper, a table full of mingos, a porgy, a couple scamps, and fought a shark for a good while. Also bonitas and a northern mackerel. Their daughter also wanted to see dolphins and I think we checked that off a few times!

Cobia season was lackluster, but we caught a few, releasing most. We did end up with one really nice fish at 70.2 lbs…just a few days early before the Boshamps Destin Flathead classic. During the tournament, we caught a fish that was probably 38-39 pounds, so tag and released it for science. Tournement minimum weight was set at 45. Here are a few pictures from our limited spring season.

Been a little remiss in posting, so will catch up a little today. We fished the Emerald Coast Fishing Club offshore tourney a couple of weeks ago. Fishing was a bit slow due to ultra calm and warm water conditions, but we made it happen at the FADs and close rigs, coming out on top in the tourney. We caught Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfins, Mahi Mahi, missed a nice wahoo and saw a swordfish free swimming. These trips are a lot of fun, but also require dedication due to the distance traveled!

Had our Georgia crew out for an inshore trip and boy did the Spanish come and play. Kept their limit for fish tacos and also had some time to explore the back bayous for some inshore fishing. All in all a great day! 🎣

Stayed inshore with our crew for today and left the Spanish biting this AM. Could have kept our limit, but they only wanted one dinner. Caught some mangroves and redfish…didn’t take many pictures as the wind was cranking out of the SW and there was intermittent sea fog in the area today. We covered some ground, caught fish and had a good time!
