Happy Juneteenth! ✊🏾💚🖤❤️

Today is the day we celebrate this historical freedom day! June 19th, 1865 marked the start of abolishing slavery and with the freeing of 250,000 enslaved people in Texas. So when we celebrate today, we are reminding those of the freedom we were rightfully granted. Make sure you support the many Juneteenth events around the city of Detroit today and even support some Black owned businesses as well. But most importantly don’t be afraid to celebrate you and your identity!

Have you ever wanted to travel solo? 🤔

I know it sounds scary but I promise you it will be the easiest trip you ever took. No need to worry about who going, who got their money, where y’all gone stay or none of that! It’s all on your time and dime. Plus you get to do things on your terms, come and go as you please. These are a few tips for those that are thinking about planning a trip for themselves. I definitely want to mention to always stay safe! Go to crowded places and always have some form of protection on yourself (be sure to check local laws). You can even go somewhere that you know someone and visit but still able to explore on your own.
