James Scott statue and fountain. Built by Cass Gilbert in 1925, after a decade and a half of disputing over the money he left the city to build it. Because of Scott’s lack of morals, the then pastor of Central Methodist church suggested a statue 2 1/2 inches high to match. Come and take our Belle Isle Tour to learn more
