You often see evolution on TV, in textbooks, or in magazines. But how did it become so popular?

Let’s talk about Thomas Huxley, a famous supporter of evolution who lived when Charles Darwin was around. Huxley is called "Darwin’s bulldog" because he worked hard to share Darwin's ideas. He was very popular and gave many lectures about evolution, even talking about human evolution.

Huxley knew that some ideas about evolution didn’t match up with the Bible. He thought if the Old Testament stories were wrong, then we couldn’t trust the New Testament stories either. Huxley didn’t believe in the Bible, but he wanted to show that you can’t believe in both evolution and the Bible at the same time. He believed that evolution was the only true science and wanted others to doubt the Bible.

Today, this is important to remember. If we believe in evolution, we say the stories in the Bible aren’t true. But those stories are key to understanding the message of the Bible! Without the story of Adam’s sin, we don’t understand why Jesus came to save us. Believing in evolution can weaken the message of the Bible. Instead of trusting what people say, we should believe what God says in His Word.

Some thoughts I wanted to share about soft tissue in dinosaurs after Tommy Lohman's Changing the Narrative episodes are now out in the world.

Scientists started finding soft tissue in fossils as early as the 1970s. They’ve discovered things like catfish fatty fins, amino acids in amber, what seems to be dinosaur DNA, and even live bacteria! In 2005, they found red blood cells, collagen fibers, and blood vessels in a T-Rex. More recently, they found stretchy material in a Triceratops horn.

These fossils are said to be millions of years old, but science shows soft tissue can’t last that long because microbes, water, and scavengers break it down quickly. Even if buried, chemistry still causes decay.

Scientists have tried testing how long soft tissue could last. Even in perfect conditions, they found soft tissue could only last a few thousand years, not millions. Proteins like collagen break down quickly; DNA lasts even less.

These findings match a biblical timeline of a global flood, not a secular timeline.
