We spent today on Martha’s Vineyard! We caught the first ferry over and ate at Linda
Jean’s. You should have seen how big the blueberries were in my pancakes. So yummy! We rented a car and drove to a section of the island that has the oldest working lighthouse. We got to climb up inside and take a look around. You could see the Aquinnah Cliffs from here! Once we were leaving this area, you will never believe who we passed by riding their bikes? John Krasinski and Emily Blunt! They have a home near the cliffs! We then drove to Edgartown. The homes here were like a dream. So many captains houses from the past. One home was built in 1750! We then traveled to Oak Bluffs and passed over the bridge used in the movie Jaws. Lots of people were jumping from it. It was fun to watch! We strolled around Oak Bluffs, had a great dinner, and visited the oldest carousel in America before heading back to catch the ferry.

If you have keen eyes you will see I have 2 outfits on in these pictures. There is a definite story to this that I will share when I get home but today was a pretty awesome day on Nantucket. We caught the ferry from Hyannis to Nantucket. (We will talk about these ferries later too). We rented bikes for the day. We explored a lot of the most adorable houses and if you are a fan of hydrangeas, this is your place! After exploring we ate lunch at Lemon Press (delish!) and then decided to bike to the popular Sunset Beach. The beaches here are much different than Cape Cod. If you didn’t know better, you would think you were at the gulf! Our bike ride back took us in a wrong direction and we ended up biking almost 15 miles today! We are pooped but going to get some good sleep and head to our next spot tomorrow!

Today we spent the day on the Cape. First we visited the lighthouse that is on Cape Cod potato chip bags. We also saw a set of lighthouses called The 3 Sisters. We walked along the Cape Cod National Seashore. I love looking for shells but I also quickly found out I am addicted to the rocks on the shores here. The one thing I wanted to find on this trip was sea glass. I was able to find a piece today!🤗 Debby quickly left and the sunshine came out! We had Lobsta at Moby Dicks for lunch. If your ever out this way, it had amazing food and great service!😋 We then went to Highland Lighthouse. It was commissioned by George Washington. We were able to take a tour and climb up to the top! We finished the night with a simple pizza dinner but since ice cream is all the rage here, topped our meal off with a homemade s’mores ice cream sandwich and watched the sky turn the most beautiful pink.

Waiting on our plane to carry us North! I’m so used to catching the first flight of the day or coming home on the last flight out. This middle of the day travel is new to me. I kind of dig it!
