And wonderful marriages can look like this one with the right commitment and work! Not only did we love hosting good to great friends Rochelle and Maurice—we created a getaway+coaching experience to help them take their marriage from (very) good to great!

We had a blast leading them in a faith-based marriage coaching process. And it helps that we love serving others with hospitality, laughs, encouragement, and food!

A Christmas gift for the house?! Introducing our Night Sky add-on for a fun experience any time of the year.

If you’ve been in our yard or on the back porch at night, you know there’s a lot to see! Guests can download a free app that connects with this new telescope to help navigate the night sky easily. We also provide a companion pair of specialty binoculars.

Although night sky photos depend a lot on type of camera/phone and a few tips to learn, you can have all kinds of fun trying. See our first guest pic with this closeup of the moon!

We’ve loved stargazing throughout our marriage—great for a date night or family fun. If you look all through our pics, you’ll see unique views of the night sky right here or nearby. (Who can forget our “shooting stars after fireworks” reel on July 4th weekend?) Our first skyview here? During the 2017 eclipse, standing in the backyard 6 months before the farmhouse became our own! Enjoy finding our eclipse pics one year after that once-in-a-lifetime event, along with our other sky views. And we look forward to sharing more pics from our guests as they try out this new toy!

Romancing the stone wall! Love the bright September days before the trees give in to fall, at their fullest green a little longer. Excited to see the stone wall repaired here after many years of crumbled stones. Now safe for sitting, posing, and proposing!

Have an amazing weekend! We love the colors of flowers across the seasons here.

Many have come back over 10 or more decades. Shades of yellow, purple, pink, along with our white hydrangeas appear between March and September.

We also appreciate amazing floral artistry and expertise by local businesses that have helped us on the grounds:

Let’s share a cold drink and warm conversation on a breezy, sunny day!

We could sit all day and enjoy listening to the yard birds, flock of geese, rooster, and rain on the tin roof! But we have a special event to do this week, in middle of some home improvements. We are hosting @adrianplans for a business retreat. Adapting to social distancing and the weather, we still have some creative plans to make it engaging while supporting local businesses.
