The serenely beautiful almighty Yellowstone River is the longest free-flowing river in the Lower 48. There are no damns (for 672 miles) whatsoever to impede its journey. You can thank Dan Baileys conservation efforts for that outcome

We believe that Montana is the number one outdoor adventure destination in the United States and one of the top destinations in the world. Take a few minutes to absorb the following:

Montana has the best all-around national park (Yellowstone) and the best national park for hiking (Glacier) in the entire country. Glacier National Park has been designated, by none other than National Geographic Magazine itself, as the "Crown of the entire Continent".

Montana has high mountains (with 97 different mountain ranges), over 3,000 pristine lakes, and countless very beautiful rivers, including the Yellowstone River, which is the longest free-flowing (undammed) river in the continental United States!!!

Big Sky Ski Resort with over 5,400 skiable acres, offers the most skiing terrain in all of North America!!! Whitefish Mountain is also a World Class skiing destination as well!!! Virtually no waiting in lift lines whatsoever!!!

Montana is home to over 50 hot springs, and visitors flock to the area in droves to enjoy the experience and a relaxing soak in a majestic mountain setting. Thermal springs occur naturally when rainwater and snow seep deep into the earth.

World renown "fly fishing can quite easily be facilitated on countless "Blue Ribbon" designated wild trout filled rivers. The Madison, Yellowstone, Blackfoot, Big Hole, Rock Creek, Bitterroot, Clark Fork and Bighorn are just a handful that currently come to mind!!!

Montana has huge outdoor spaces – it is the fourth largest state, but has the third lowest population density, with an average of only seven people per square mile. In fact, there are more elk, deer and antelope, than there are actually people here in the Big Sky Country!!!

Montana’s native lands offer glimpses into the rich history of some of Montana’s Native American tribes, such as the Crow, Blackfeet, Salish Kootenai, Shoshone, and Cheyenne.

Montana’s current culture incorporates its Wild West history: Dinosaur fossils, Lewis & Clark’s Exploration, mining aka the "Treasure State" and a very captivating ranching culture with countless rodeos and virtually unlimited horseback riding opportunities!!!

Montana is home to the famed western artist Charles Russell Museum in Great Falls and the Cowboy Hall of Fame is in Wolf Point, while the World famous Bucking Horse Sale takes place in Miles City!!!

Montana offers more than ample opportunity to see mammals such as elk, deer, antelope, moose, buffalo, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, and the apex species, grizzly bears and gray wolves. Even an occasional badger or wolverine sighting isn't out of the question!!!

Montana is full of very friendly people and cute small towns – including our new home base here in Dillon!!! Very charming ones that will grab a firm hold of your ♥️ from the very first moment that you first lay your eyes on them!!!

You will ♥️ Montana’s eight primary airports: large enough to have good connections but small enough to be a joy when you land!!! 😍

And last but not least, we ♥️ all the outdoor activities available in Montana: hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, horse pack trips, camping, Big Game and upland bird hunting, backpacking, snowshoeing, skiing both nordic and downhill, snowboarding, snowmobiling, white water rafting, canoeing, wildlife viewing, world class photography opportunities and pretty much anything else you can imagine, that does not involve an ocean!!!

When you are ready to step into an extraordinary place for your vacation, look no further than Montana. 🤠

Life is so very precious for Montana's wild trout. They live a very perilous day to day existence. Their journey into adulthood is a far more difficult one than anything Ulysses ever faced.

If the juvenile trout isn't eaten by another fish- there always the otters, blue heron, osprey and that absolutley legendary hunter aka a Bald Eagle. An extremely docile predator that can ride the summit of the winds and approach an absolutely defenceless trout at 140 MPH!!! Blessed with eyes so sharp that the bird could probably read the front page of the New York Times from a distance of half mile a mile away.

Then of course there is the biggest threat to the trout-MAN!!! As a result, only the very strongest of Montana's wild trout (Salmonid species) survive into adulthood. Montana's Wild Trout are highly prized the world over.
