🌀 Let’s talk about hurricanes 🌀

I hate to be a Debbie Downer on a Monday…
This week, a second hurricane is making its way towards Florida within a short period of time. There is even talk of Disney World closing (which it never does unless the weather is very severe).
Other places not directly in the path, such as Cancun, will have more rain than usual.

So what do you do if you have a trip planned during a hurricane?

⛈️ Don’t panic - most resorts have a plan if you are stuck. I’ve even heard that locals will book a room at a Universal hotel because they feel safer and have more supplies available there.

☔️ Instead of canceling, move your trip to different dates - the areas affected probably rely heavily on tourism for their income. Once the storm passes and the dust settles, they will need the tourists to come back.

🌊 Buy the travel insurance - anything can happen anytime, not just during hurricane season, and you need to be prepared for the unexpected. It’s better to have insurance and not need it, than to not have insurance and need it.
