Day 1 in Doha unfolded as a whirlwind exploration of all the must-see spots and attractions. With just one full day on the agenda, we aimed to soak in as much as humanly possible! Our adventure kicked off with a tour of the state-of-the-art cruise port and the vibrant Mina Districts, teeming with shops and restaurants. Next stop: the remarkable Pearl island, a man-made marvel akin to Palm Jumeirah, boasting shops, residences, dining options, and – surprise, surprise – a Venetian canal! We then ventured to the Cultural Village, where we experienced the enchanting Friday noon call to prayer at the Blue Mosque. Post-prayer, we indulged in a memorable waterfront lunch at the incredible #bohosocialqatar (seriously contemplating a return for their amazing brunch!). Our cultural journey continued with visits to both the #museumofislamicarts, housing artifacts dating back to the 4th Century and offering some of the best-framed views of the Qatar skyline, and the #nationalmuseumofqatar, treating us to a captivating exploration of the country’s history – a hit for both adults and kids alike. After a quick pitstop at the hotel to freshen up, we wrapped up the day with a visit to the old market – surprisingly not looking old at all but rather a refreshed version of the souq that has stood in the same spot for centuries. As the sun set on this Friday night, everyone was out savoring the incredible weather (70 degrees and no humidity). What a spectacular day! Next on the agenda: off to #zulalwellnessresort.
