Whoever said boating was done after Labor Day wasn’t accounting for Michigan’s inability to decide what weather it should pick out for the day. We are very grateful for these last couple bonus weeks of summer but cold weather is right around the corner. On July 28th, The Flying Dutchman hosted a memorable sunset cruise. Despite earlier rain, the skies cleared just in time for a stunning sunset over Lake Michigan. The group enjoyed the serene beauty as the sun set, casting a golden glow over the water. The evening was filled with laughter and joy, creating unforgettable memories for everyone on board.

This weekend, we had an exceptional experience at the Venetian Festival in Saugatuck/Douglas. The festivities commenced on Friday night with an outstanding performance by Starfarm, whose energy set a vibrant tone for the weekend. We were particularly impressed by the event crew's efficiency in setting up and dismantling the stage overnight. Saturday was filled with engaging activities, including a lively dinghy poker run and a captivating art in the park exhibit. The highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly the lighted boat parade and the spectacular fireworks display, which we had the privilege of viewing from the deck of The Flying Dutchman. The entire weekend was a perfect blend of entertainment and community spirit.

Last night, we took family and friends out for a sunset cruise on Lake Michigan aboard The Flying Dutchman. The sunset was breathtaking, with the sky painted in shades of orange and pink. We had a great time today at Crane’s car show and fund raiser for the Semper Fi Fund who support a wounded warriors and their families. Congratulations to the winner of our 2 hour silent auction charter donation to help this great foundation help our service members and families. Happy Fathers Day to all you Dads out there.

Great day on the water today, started off Michigan cold but by the third charter it started to warm up. Ya at 4:30pm. Happy Memorial Day weekend!
