This air conditioned Lakehouse can easily sleep 12 people comfortably, and still have room for air mattresses if needed,
Upon arrival there is street parking, as you walk to the house you will find a side deck at the front entrance, and a propane grill for your use near the door.
The main floor: Full kitchen with island bar seating, front room with couch/chairs/tv, front room has sliding doors that open up to balcony deck with outdoor patio seating, Main floor bedroom has 2-twin sized beds, main floor full bathroom (with stand up shower only)
Upstairs: open loft-like feel bedroom has 6-twin sized beds
Basement: There is a privacy basement door off the kitchen leading to the basement that can be used to separate more than 1 family/group
Basement is a Studio-style Full Kitchen, Front room with 2-Full-sized futons, and tv, a full sized bathroom (with stand up shower)
Sliding Doors from basement studio lead to outdoor patio area with picnic table, extra seating and a fire pit

McKernin Resort is situated in Big Crooked lake which is 110 acres in size. It is a spring fed lake, the lake level and water quality are excellent. Big Crooked is an all sports boating lake and our family resort has its own boat pier if you have a boat or plan to rent one.
There is a free boat launch on the lake

Besides boating or boating sports, you can take a swim in the clean lake with a sandy bottom off our shallow walk out boardwalk next to the pier. Don't forget life vests or floaties while you enjoy relaxing in the lake, or just sit and soak up the sun!
Fishing off the pier or your boat can be fun and relaxing! Big Crooked has smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and perch.
If you'd like to venture out there are an array of shops (many antique), restaurants, wineries, farmer's markets, breweries/pubs, Drive-in movie theatre, Golf, and nearby casinos.
We also have a local grocery store, roller rink/miniture golf, ice cream shop and two breweries in walking distance.
