Today the Chamber of Commerce celebrated the addition of a new business in Dowagiac with our traditional ribbon tying ceremony at Twisted Bee, our city's first cannabis dispensary. Their grand opening will be TOMORROW, October 21, 12-4pm. There will be food trucks on site and a chance to register to win a 50" television! Starting Sunday, October 22, they will be open 7 days a week from 9am-8pm. Welcome!

Just under two weeks until the Dowagiac Summer Festival & BBQ Competition! We are excited to be introducing a new event during our annual summer festival: A barbecue competition will feature an amatuer division and will be sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society.

This community celebration is a family-friendly event, featuring music and dance, children’s interactive entertainment, games and rides, and food trucks. Families can browse summer sales at retail specialty shops, and the booths of artisans, community organizations and commercial vendors. Southwestern Michigan College's annual Steve's Run will start downtown Friday evening.
