Do you know the difference between a passport book and a passport card? The U.S. passport book is the only document approved for international AIR travel. The passport card costs less, but can only be used at U.S. land and sea border crossings. Both can be used as a Real ID for domestic travel. You can apply for a passport book and card on the same passport application. Learn more at travel.state.gov/passport

Starting today, January 8th 2025, travellers (including children and infants) from visa-exempt countries, such as the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, will need an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) to enter the UK.
Cost: £10

Validity: ETA allows multiple visits up to 6 months at a time over two years or until your passport expires.

Application Process: Submit your application through the official UK government website (GOV.UK) before your trip to ensure timely approval.

*Please note you will need an ETA even if you are just transiting through the UK. That means if you have a layover in an airport in the UK to connect on to another destination you still have to get an ETA.

For those of you reaching out asking about whether I think your beach vacation in this area later this week or in two weeks will be okay ... Unfortunately no. Please be patient with tourism on the West Coast of Florida, they are cancelling your reservation because the beach is no longer the beach, sand is piled 10ft plus high along the roads mixed with debris and everything is a mess to put it nicely, including many accomodations which need to be cleaned, checked for structural damage, repaired, and likely need to have power restored. We have no idea how long it'll take to sift/clean the sand and move it back out to the beach where it belongs but everything will take time. The beaches will be back as soon as possible!

The Great Frigatebird in the Galapagos have large wingspans averaging 7+ feet which makes them hard to miss as they soar through the sky. Males have a green sheen on the feathers of their back and a red throat pouch that they inflate like a balloon to attract females. Females have white chests and are larger than males.

Our last full day in the Galapagos we were lucky enough to be able to land in the morning at Punta Pitt, the only site in the Galapagos where you can sometimes find all three species of bo***es nesting together! This site had just reopened after closure due to precautions surrounding the avian flu. And we were lucky to see all three bo***es on the island! This was also our first and only sighting of the red footed bo***es. Fun fact: blue footed bo***es nest on the ground and red footed bo***es nest in the trees.

Wondering what the food is like on an expedition cruise on 's National Geographic Endeavour II in the Galapagos? The food was very good with fresh leafy greens from a local hydroponic farm, lots of local flavors and presentation from the kitchen crew was spot on to add even more to the dishes!

The Galapagos is the only place in the world where Marine Iguanas have been observed to congregate for social reasons and not just out of necessity for mating, food, warmth, etc. Also, they can't survive for long in the cold water before having to come back up on land to sun themselves to warm back up...which is something that I, as a Floridian, have in common with them 😂

The Sea Lions in the Galapagos were so curious/playful with us when we were snorkeling! They'd swim all around us and even come right up to your face but not quite touch you and then nosedive under you. Kind of like if you grew up with a sibling who'd put their hand as close to your face as possible and say "I'm not touching you", except when the Sea Lions do it, it's actually funny/cute! In the Galapagos the Naturalist we had onboard were AMAZING. Seriously there was not a single question they couldn't answer. Always full of fun/interesting facts and with such enthusiastic storytelling they captured our attention both on land, in the water and via lectures onboard. To Ramiro & Omar ( the cutest brothers), Christian, Pato, Charley, Cindy, Vanessa and Gabby thank you for an amazing 8 days in the Galapagos I'll never forget !

Giant Tortoises! These cuties look like a cross between a dinosaur and ET lol incredibly they can go 1-2 years without food or water if they need to. We also had the rare sighting of two males fighting.

Day 2 Galapagos Land Iguanas! Did you know that the Land Iguanas here can run 50 meters faster than Usain Bolt ⚡👀. Talk about fast, but they look deceiving laying around everywhere warming themselves.

Day 2 in The Galapagos: Blue Footed Bo***es! Never did I ever think I'd get this excited about feet pics 😂 Fun fact the Blue Footed B***y gets the blue color only after 2-3 year when it reaches sexual maturity and the blue pigment comes from eating so many sardines. The bluer the feet the healthier the bird.

Throwing it back to my last visit to Gardens in celebration of their 75th anniversary this year! This is one place I could visit over and over again and be in awe each time. The flowers here are literally perfect and look surreal. If you haven't been it's a must add to your travel list when in or around Amsterdam during Tulip season.

We had a true National Geographic moment on Las Bachas as some baby sea turtles hatched and frigate birds appeared out of nowhere swooping down to pick them off and eat them.
