National Parks are the perfect place to get your feet wet traveling with kids. We went to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National Park when our kids were 4 and 7.

And using a vacation planner also means you have me “on call” in case you have any last minute problems. One client going to Yosemite found themselves with road closures that altered their entire trip, so we reworked all the reservations and affected details until we came up with a new itinerary that met their needs.

More fun from Williamsburg!

The boys played a game at the governors’ palace that 18th century guests would have played in the hedge maze. One gave directions while the other was “blindfolded” (and ran into things 😆).

It was so much fun getting to see the kids experience colonial life and living US History. Highly recommend for your older elementary and up children. (Not that you can’t take younger kids, but they may not get as much out of it.)

Took a social media hiatus and turned the big 4-0!

To celebrate, our family went to Williamsburg for a long weekend. We got to hit all the historical sites, did a ghost tour (and terrified our 10 year-old in the process), and ate in the style of 18th century tavern-goers.

I love that I have these exact same pictures of my children at ages 9 (almost 10) and 12 that I do when they were just 3 and 6. Longwood Gardens is one of our favorite places to visit time and time again.

The last of Santorini. What a magical trip.

How I work: you fill out a travel interest form to give me an idea of what you’re looking for. Then we talk so I can get more details. My fee is based on a rough estimate of the number of hours it will take to plan all the details which is broken down by the size of the party and the number of vacation days. (Priced by 1-3 people, 4-6, 6-8, etc). Then I get to work! I start to map out your route, your hotel/Airbnb options, based on what things you want to see or do. Every step of the way you’re involved. I never book anything without approval, but you don’t have to do the heavy lifting of researching all the reviews and suggestions.

Santorini, Greece

The last island stop for the mother-daughter duo. They stayed in Ammoudi Bay in Oia on the northern tip of the island. Santorini is iconic for a reason. Breathtaking cliffs are covered in whitewashed buildings with blue doors and domes and the beautiful Aegean Sea in the background wherever you look. Donkeys really are still relied upon very heavily to transport goods up and down the steep staircases.
Activities included a winery tour, a cooking class, taking a boat to a secluded restaurant, and getting tattoos together to commemorate their trip.

Plaka and Klima, Milos. Lots of kitties, blue doors, and the freshest seafood. And of course, priceless family time.

I recently had the pleasure of planning this phenomenal trip for a client and her daughter to celebrate college graduation.

The destination was Greece, and the ladies wanted off the beaten path with lots of charm and beauty. I think we made that happen!

First stop was Milos, an island with incredibly unique rock features, a million beaches, and endless charm.
