The month of June is all about the Great Outdoors! I am a self-proclaimed plant enthusiast. There are many of us are out there. The space within my home is thriving with plant life. In my free time I lovingly tend to my flower beds outdoors and volunteer at the local botanical gardens within my community. My husband graciously tolerates my obsessive love for plants and volunteers along side of me, although I can’t say he finds pulling w**ds as delighting as myself.
Yes, I am a plant lover…. a dirt lover…. a w**d lover…. a lover of all thing’s nature. But it’s not just my love for plants that gets me outdoors…it’s the way I feel when connecting with nature. Being outdoors in nature does something to my inner being that can’t be explained through words. When I am in nature, my soul feels truly free and well.
June is nationally recognized as the Great Outdoors Month. A time to recharge and rejuvenate the soul. A time for connecting and healing through the energy being released from the earth. Each week in June I will be posting various articles on the topic of the Great Outdoors and the benefits we all can receive through spending a little time each day in nature therapy.
So, join me. Step outdoors, close your eyes, tilt your head to the skies, take a deep breath, and let nature enter your heart and feel at peace….
