It's been a very long, long time since I've put up any new work. Yes, I've been busy, just slow to post new works. This project at Currier Hall is special to us. Until 1946 African-American students were barred from living on campus. This mural honors the first 5 women to integrate the residence halls at the University of Iowa. Unfortunately, all five women have passed but we were able to speak with their relatives to understand who these women were. The project was started in February of 2020 and then delayed. It was completed February of 2022. This was a true collaboration with the University of Iowa, Digital Designs, Ivonne Simmons-Fals, and Eikamp Arts.
