The discovery was made near the beach walkover at Ocean Crest Way on July 16, according to a Town of Duck spokeswoman.

,🚨 EXERCISE CAUTION ON THE BOARDWALK 🚨

Between sometime overnight and this morning, the boardwalk was vandalized. Please be mindful and cautious while using the boardwalk just west of the Town Park as several posts have been removed. While this area is being taped with caution tape, there are no posts in place. Keep children and pets away from the edge and pay attention to others along this section of the boardwalk. Unfortunately, this has created a hazardous and unsafe situation.

The Duck Police Department requests the public's help identifying the individual(s) who vandalized the boardwalk. If you have any information or if you saw any suspicious activity please call the Duck Police Department at 252-261-1112.
