The Town of Duck will hold its annual 4th of July Parade on Thursday, July 4 at 9:00 a.m. Please be aware that increased pedestrian traffic and slow moving vehicles will cause congestion between the hours of 8:00 and 11:00 a.m.

⚠️ No part of the parade takes place on Duck Road (NC 12) nor is Duck Road closed. All traffic lanes will be open.⚠️

The parade itself will last from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.

Please plan accordingly if you are traveling through the Town of Duck on the morning of July 4. Businesses are asked to advise staff and delivery vehicles of the anticipated congestion and potential delays.

A Community Celebration will be held immediately following the parade at the Duck Town Park, 1200 Duck Road. The celebration will feature music by Just Playn’ Dixieland, cold refreshments, watermelon provided by Green Acres Farm Market, and the awarding of parade trophies.

Hey all past guests!! Last year was rough health wise for me and it limited a lot of what I can normally collect and prepare to promote our homes authentically. I typically like to use real life images because- heck, everyone wants to know the reality of what the house, duck, beach, etc are really like.

If you are willing to share any great content- videos, photos, etc with us that we can use as we promote for 2025 season I would be so grateful and give photo cred. If anyone has super savvy content creators and they made some great clips I will pay for those too if they could work for promo.

Here’s to our time in Duck. We are celebrating our wedding anniversary (a pleasure not work trip) so I HOPE I CAN STOP MYSELF FROM SPRAY PAINTING ANYTHING ! Or rearranging anything.

It might be too late I have already put out some new tanning beds.

OUTDOOR UPGRADES!

We have updated pool areas with new chairs, cushions, rug, pillows, stools and yep- some decor. More spacious, practical and social like we like!

Let’s go season 2023.

Yes. I caved and did a backdrop for our flagship house.

I went through all one of my dads old jerseys and it only seemed right to do this with him this way.

We can’t wait for our guests to see all our hard work!!

Whew, we have been in a whirlwind this pre-season prepping for our 6th season at Salty 7!

As most of you know we are bringing Salty Soul Beach House- Duck, NC OBX to our rental family this year. And that newest addition and new renovation inspired us to do some fun updating at Salty 7.

What can you expect new this year at Salty 7?

NEW looks in ALL bedrooms! Yep, bedding, decor and awesome new themes. Get ready to see our new bedrooms with some nice touches. And more king bed upgrades (yay!). And we may have moved around room layout to make more spacious and bright.

And we had some fun doing it…. Some details on the new bedrooms..

Lower level Master- “Fifty Shades of Grey”- inspired by my mom who actually brought that book series on vacation to read on our family vacation! This room now offers

Lower Level jack n Jill bath- FLAMINGO themed! Yes- bright, fun and adorable.

Mid-Level Master- Tommy Bahama themed with a great new reading corner by the porch access.

Bunk bed room #1- NEW twin over full bunk bed with twin trundle. Beach bum themed with fun tie dye touches.

Bunk bed room #2- new bedding with fun colors that really make the room pop!

Porch King bedroom- Beachy vibe room. New King bed with fantastic seating area, lots of COLOR that just screams beach mode.

Upper King bedroom- Love shack remains with colors true to us- turquoise and orange. A great space that got new color touch ups.

EVERY BEDROOM got new TVs so goodbye to the 2 remote confusion game. Smart TVs that are easy to use no matter what.

Lastly- the game room got a make over. New furniture that OPENS up the space and makes it much more like one big fun room. Lockers for storage for kid crap, food, or whatever you need. New TV and additional seating too!

Outside didn’t get denied- the screened in porch got some love too. New seating set up and a great table to make having meals outside easier and game playing more functional!

Okay….

These are not my best photos BUT I want to go ahead and say be ready! We are really prepping hard this off season for you.

Salty Soul has inspired me to update rooms again at the other homes (which by the way I dont recommend unless you want to be flat out exhausted and tormented, but hey, I can’t help myself).

Here is what you can expect in 2023- the rec room got some serious love. We have said bye bye to the leather couches to make room for more open space and function. So the pool table area can blend with rest of room.

You will see- a new TV, the fun lockers for storage or whatever you need, new couch and chair, a mix of old and new with a cool new vintage couch by the pool table, and an overhaul on some of the decor.

Plus- we are working to make a pass through bar area to make it easier to get cocktails pool side!!

We also will be updating the look in many of the bedrooms- at least 4 of the 7. All beds are now kings except for the bunk bed spaces. You can still expect color and fun, but a twist on the layout in some of the bedrooms. Photos coming soon!
