Monaco air is looking for a responsible, service-oriented individual to join our staff of airframe & powerplant mechanics (A&P). This position is full time, Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts with many benefits:

Requirements:
• Will work as part of a team performing general maintenance on GA aircraft to include annuals and repairs.
• Use hand tools and small power tools to conduct general maintenance of piston aircraft.
• Perform all mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical component maintenance, repair or replacement of parts as directed.
• Comply with all policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work site.
• Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases returning aircraft to service.
• Responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components; effectively performs work to meet deadlines and performance goals.
• Troubleshoot systems; disassembles, repairs, and reassemble.
• Possess honesty, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining safe compliant aircraft.
• FAA A&P Mechanic needs to have a good mechanical aptitude and skill set.
• Be At least 21 years old.
• Read Write speak and understand the English language.
• Have your own set of basic tools.
• Prefer to have 3-5 years’ experience. But will review all applications.
• Be able to pass a 10-year background check.
• Pass a preemployment drug test and random drug testing thereafter

We had the pleasure of accommodating these fine aircraft’s tonight!
B Co 2/211th GSAB(General Support Aviation Battalion) out of AASF #2(Army Aviation Support Facility) in St. Cloud, MN flying the Chinook CH-47F heavy lift helicopter. Fastest military helicopter in the world at 196mph. Max payload of approx. 24,000 lbs. The Chinook helicopter has been in US military service since 1962 and is expected to continue into the 2060s.

Evan and Jared are working hard to make sure our deice trucks are looking sharp and ready to service all your deicing needs this winter! Mike and I (Sylvie) were talking this morning and he said “this might be the first year ever that we don’t deice in September” we hope he jinxed it! Nothing can stop us now! We will have your frosty morning departures covered before the snow falls and after a wonderful visit to Duluth! Hope to see you soon!

It's a balmy 30degrees out today so what do we do?.. We fire up the grill! Enjoyed some teriyaki and lemon pepper chicken. Maia Killerud made some delicious pasta salad, Christy Marie made delightful homemade potato salad and Jared Steel made a refreshing cucumber salad. Thank you for a great lunch!

C-5M takeoff runway 27 DLH

This weekend Monaco Air Duluth supported the 148th Fighter Wing with Operation Vigilant Guard and hosted a C-5M Super Galaxy on our ramp. After unloading approximately 100,000 lbs of cargo in Duluth the C-5M made a very impressive departure from runway 27. Pictures to follow this week.
