Hi everybody! Some changes coming our way. Starting September 1st we will no longer be running trips from Home Port Marina. Instead we will be offering pickup/drop off from any local public dock, or from the dock of your choice. We feel this will better allow us to run more trips in more areas as well as provide more value to our customers, since they will no longer to have to make the trip to Palm Harbor in order to start their adventure, instead we can leave from the dock closest to your location. Feel free to call, message, or email if you have any questions.

About Me...

Captain Phil’s love of the water and boating began almost before he could even walk. Growing up in upstate New York, he spent much of his summers at his grandparents’ cottage on a spring-fed mountain lake, where he learned to drive their small powerboat at a very young age. At 10 years old he took the US Coast Guard “Make Sure, Make Shore” young boater’s course, and after passing was allowed to take the boat out on his own. This solidified his love of water activities and boating. As a teenager, he moved to South Florida where he continued to spend as much of his free time as possible in or around the water, mostly on kayaks or dive boats.

Working most of his adult life in the restaurant/hospitality industry, Phil’s dream was to one day own a business where he could do what he loved, and show people the things that made him love the water so much. After moving to Dunedin, he decided to leave the restaurant industry and pursue his love of boating as a career. He gained experience and knowledge of the local waters while working for a popular boat club in the area, and decided to get his captain’s license. After completing the requirements for the Master Captain’s credential, he decided to start Phil Good Tours in order to take locals and visitors out to experience the sheer natural beauty of the waters and barrier islands of northern Pinellas county, in the hopes that they would enjoy the area’s wonders as much as he does.

Currently certified as a 25 Gross Ton Master Captain, Phil still prefers the fun of taking out smaller groups to places where the big boats just can’t go, and the intimacy of getting to know each and every one of his passengers personally, in order to provide them with the most enjoyable experience possible, customized to meet their particular wants, needs, and expectations.
