Due to our Staff Christmas Party ( we are running a little behind, this years Christmas party is next month.) I will be unable to attend tonights Local Planning Agency meeting. There is alot of misinformation out there, please aim yourself with facts. The noise ordinance is only being clarified, unfortunately this ultra restrictive ordinance is not being changed. This has to do with an ordinance for outdoor dining that has restrictive clauses in it that are being removed. For example, under the current ordinance Blur is allowed 7 seats inside and 24 outside, although the Fire Department allows us 550 people. The contentious issue is there is a clause in there that makes us vacate our patios at 11 on weeknights and midnight on weekends. That's all. This obviously would negatively impact many downtown businesses, myself included. If you do attend please be respectful and armed with facts.
