“Starting in early November, Americans who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus will have to test negative within a day of leaving on a return flight to the United States. That is a shift from the current rule that mandates travelers test negative within 72 hours of departure.”

Tucked into President Biden’s broader announcement this week were stricter rules for unvaccinated travelers.

Travel Tip - Buy a first class seat on one leg of your Delta flight and it will give you Sky Priority on the whole journey. Sky Priority gives you 2 free bags, up to 70 lbs. each and access to the Sky Priority line at check-in.

On a recent trip home from Alaska, we flew from Anchorage to Minneapolis to Reagan National. We upgraded one seat from Minneapolis to Reagan at a cost of $120. Instead of 3 checked bags ($25 each; $75 total), we packed two larger/heavier bags + one car seat bag (free).

When we arrived at the airport, the regular line was 50 people deep, but Sky Priority had just 3 people in line. In minutes, we had checked our luggage and were on our way through Security.

Easing of restrictions for vaccinated travelers!

Did you hear the latest Bahamas announcement?
Effective May 1st, 2021 those travelling to The Bahamas from outside of the country will be exempt from a RT- PCR COVID-19 test if they are fully vaccinated and have passed the two-week immunity period! Proof of full vaccination will be required.
