Did you know that there are ice sculptures in Maiden Rock, WI? Sitting on an artesian aquifer is the Rush River Ice Sculptures. They come alive every winter and are worth a visit!

Did you know that a new adaptation of Little House on the Prairie will be coming to Netflix? Rebecca Sonnenshine (The Boys, The Vampire Diaries, Archive 81), is shepherding the new series as showrunner and executive producer.
"Since its original publication in the 1930s, the Little House book series have sold more than 73 million copies in more than 100 countries, and have been translated into at least 27 languages. Although it’s been 50 years since the 1974 show first debuted, Nielsen reports that the nostalgic series garnered 13.25 billion minutes of viewing in 2024 alone."

Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum, Pepin Wisconsin is hosting a 158th birthday party for Laura Ingalls Wilder at the Little Wayside Cabin this Saturday, February 8th from 12pm-3pm!
They plan to serve gingerbread, cookies, hot cider, and will have activities such as a book reading, grinding wheat in a coffee mill, Little House trivia, and making "buzz saws" with buttons!

Did you know that YMCA Camp Pepin hosts a Winterfest celebration that has Lake Pepin's LARGEST ice carousel? ❄️
Mark the calendars for February 15th from 1pm-6pm!
There will be lots of winter activities for everyone! Ice fishing, broomball, skating, smores, winter walk in the woods, indoor arts and crafts, and more! ⛸

We recently visited the new shop, River & Grace, in downtown Durand and were blown away! There were lots of vendor items you can’t find anywhere else, adorable & comfy clothes, and a really great selection of pet treats & gifts (can confirm that the kitty kickers and dog treats are a hit 🐱).

We highly recommend stopping by!
