A big part of the cultural immersion process is learning how to salsa dance from Salsa Con Gloria .... Gloria gives us a bilingual dance lesson that has our participants moving mas suavamente by the end. And most importantly it is MUUUY DIVERTIDO!!!!

We offer online private Spanish classes with Blanca Solares, a 20-year veteran Spanish teacher. Registration for cohort #10 is now open! To register, please click on the pre-registration link below. Once you complete your short (5-minute) pre-registration, you will be emailed an invoice for a $200 deposit, which is applicable towards your overall tuition.

Escuela Rural El Hato is a public school that we have had the honor of collaborating with over the past seven years. Our participants shadow and collaborate in K-6 classrooms, and in return we provide in-kind donations to teachers and administrators.

Anjelica is the leader of the Mayan Women's Cooperative we visit as one of our many cultural activities. She and her group of women show us many aspects of the traditional Mayan culture, including weaving, making tortillas, and a traditional Mayan wedding.

As a fully facilitated experience, you will participate in orientation sessions prior to your departure to Guatemala. Not only do we discuss logistical and cultural items to be prepared for, but try to begin the process of shaping our "group " into a true "cohort." That way, once we arrive in Guatemala, we aren't strangers!
