With respect, today, we recognize December 10 as a Tribal Holiday celebrated each year by the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, established in 1996. La Plata County and the State of Colorado followed suit in 2020 by formally acknowledging December 10 as Leonard C. Burch Day. β€œThe Burch era,” paved the way for Native Americans all over the country. Chairman Burch, you will forever be remembered.
